I had never used a shower cap that is open on both sides, so there was a small learning curve at first. Once I figured out how to close it properly (the first time I used it, it's not complicated at all), it worked perfectly. No water gets in at all, and the quality is excellent. The material feels durable, the satin lining is gentle on my hair, and the adjustable fit makes it comfortable for different hair lengths. Plus, the Terracotta Checker design is really cute. Definitely a great upgrade from regular shower caps. Read more

Okay, I never thought I’d be this excited about a shower cap, but the Kitsch Luxury Shower Cap is in a league of its own. This is not your grandma’s plastic cap; it’s stylish, high-quality, and actually works like a dream. First off, the fit is perfection. It’s snug enough to stay secure (even with long, thick hair), but it’s not tight or uncomfortable. The fabric is luxe and feels way more expensive than it is. And the inside? Soft, comfy, and totally waterproof - it keeps my hair bone dry, even during long, steamy showers. Bonus points: it’s cute. Like, actually cute. I don’t feel ridiculous wearing it, which means I actually do wear it. Whether I’ve got a fresh blowout or I’m just trying to stretch one more day between washes, this cap protects my hair and saves my style every time. I’ve tried cheap ones that fall apart or leak, but this one has lasted and still looks brand new. If you’re tired of flimsy, ugly shower caps - upgrade to this. You won’t regret it. Kitsch nailed it. 10/10. A bathroom must-have. Read more
Searching for a Shower cap that works!—November 24, 2025
I am old and cranky and could care less about people who ‘follow’ anyone other than their own conscience. And I am saying this to let anyone looking for a shower cap that actually works know that when you follow the instructions on the box that this Kitsch cap comes in, YOUR HAIR COMES OUT COMPLETELY DRY! I cant even count how many shower caps i have tried and i always have to get the hair dryer out for the bottom in the back if not more. I had even taken to throwing them out to reinforce to myself that i was throwing away money. One was twice the price of this cap. I am natural type, like everything to be as simple as possible, and was confounded that i could not find a cap that worked. Was even building up anger over it, i.e. ‘Men can put themselves on the Moon, but since its mostly women who need a functioning shower cap, no one has even looked at the problem since 1950.’ I have thin, fine hair that is about shoulder length so i dont know how it would work if you have a lot of curly hair, but it might. It has more room and is better designed than any of the others ive bought. If you are looking for something that completely keeps your hair dry, though, i am just writing this to let you know that it was a ten year search for me and i have finally found the answer. Its the checked cap that has holes at each end and that you pull down over your face and then pull up and use that end to wrap over. Absolutely amazing. Read more

Front pieces and around my ears and nape of the next get wet sometimes but otherwise i love the product design. It beats a regular old shower cap that leaves your hair frizzy after a shower. Read more

I could sing from the rooftops about how much I love this shower cap, which is kind of silly. I had my eye on it for awhile, but wasn’t sure if it would be worth the money. My only regret is that I didn’t order one sooner. It’s easy to use and it makes me feel so secure. I know that if I have this on, I don’t have to worry about any of my hair getting wet. I wear 22 inch sew in extensions, based on this, I think I have more hair than the average person and I have no trouble fitting all of my hair into this. I think this would work well for someone with very thick or long hair. The design is cute too (pink checker), not that anyone ever sees me in it. I have been using this for maybe about a month and it has held up well so far, but only time will tell. The only con I can think of is that it takes up a lot of room to store in my small shower. Overall, I don’t think I’ll ever go back to disposable shower caps ever again. I used to always worry if all my hair was covered, or if it was going to slip off. This one is study and secure. 5/5!! This shower cap works a lot better than most shower caps I’ve used before it. But that is more an indictment of how poorly designed most caps are rather than praise for this cap. The size of the shower cap is pretty good. I have a lot of hair so even when it’s cut short, it’s very hard to fit it all in a typical shower cap. Being able to get all my hair into this cap means less of my hair is likely to get wet. The material of the cap is okay. It seems to keep water out and is relatively easy to clean. My biggest issue with the shower cap is how it is secured once it’s on your head. The straps, or whatever they’re called, are a horrible design. They are long, slip around easily, and do not provide the tight seal needed to keep hair dry. Because the straps are long, they fall in front of my face which is really annoying and means I have to tie a weird big knot to stop it. Because of the material, the knot has to be tied extra tight just to stay in place. Otherwise the knot comes undone and the cap slips from desired position. It is hard to get the ideal tightness of the cap with these straps and they require constant adjustment. It seems clips or buttons that click together would provide a more stable way to secure the cap. I would give the cap a higher rating if this issue were resolved. Read more
