Customers report that the oil applicator doesn't distribute oil well, leaks through, and doesn't work properly.
Do not buy this. Good idea, terrible design. Top won’t stay on, leaks oil and is tiny. Cheaply made. Such a shame, good brand. Also abrasive on the scalp and barely any oil comes out when you’re actually using it. Read more
It’s funny to read some of these reviews. As someone who is actively (but not aggressively) scrubbing my scalp in the shower when I wash my hair, I don’t find this tool to be any more uncomfortable than that. This is great if you want to be able to put oil on your scalp with precision, e.g. I don’t want to have oily hair after I’ve washed it, just a small amount of oil on my scalp to stimulate growth exactly where needed. I’ve not been able to achieve that with a dropper until getting this product. I do think if you’re someone who is extra sensitive, you could try loosening up the dropper balls by pushing it to your hand a few times when empty before using it with oil. I think anything you use with oil is going to leak, so it’s great that it comes with a cap to catch the oil that leaks out when not in use. I just dump that back into the reservoir before next use if enough has leaked out, but it’s a small amount usually. It’s easy to use, good quality, and cheap. I would buy this again. Read more
Broke within 24 hours of opening it, the cap won't stay on. O-ring came out of somewhere and now it's leaking oil. Awful. Waste of money Read more
Not impressed, which I'm pretty disappointed about. I had high hopes for this because I love all Kitsch products and I just knew this would be good, too. It scratches my scalp, pulls my hair and still doesn't really distribute much product onto my scalp. Read more
I think it depends of what you’re looking for. I needed something I can use every day for my rosemary oil treatment, to have it work but not making my hair greasy. It is PERFECT for that. I would give 5 but the only cons I have is because is dropping some oil when not used. But since the oil is collected is small cap is not so bad. Read more
It doesn’t distribute oil the way u think and I feel like I’m attempting to apply too much pressure just to get the oil in my hair and it’s scratching my scalp I don’t like that at all I use to have the big vita hair serum and that serum applicator is way better it is not a universal fit on to the bottles btw so I wouldn’t recommend. Been using for days now and the oil is only this much gone mind you I use multiple times a day…. Read more
I've only used this once so far so take this review with a grain of salt, but I think this is a great little product! It fits perfectly onto my hair serum by The Ordinary. Yes, it's a very tiny little applicator, but it doesn't need to be any bigger than it is. It massages the serum into your scalp more easily than your fingertips can, and doesn't leave your roots feeling greasy. It also feels nice! Definitely worth the small price. Read more
