I bought the 8". Handles my 35# loadout with no problems. No balance problems. Easy to keep organized and quickly find the right tool. The molded bottom is a huge plus, as I am usually working around lots of puddling. UPDATE: Came back early to award that 5th star. This thing is great!!! 10 months of in and out of the truck all day, loaded with 35 pounds tools, working on wet, steamy equipment pads, and not a stitch has popped. Nowhere do I see the nylon wearing through. No problems with zippered or velcro pocket closures, even though I keep them packed. The padded shoulder strap at first seemed under engineered in the face of my heavy tool load, but there have been zero probs with it. Not even seeing any corrosion spots on the clips or d-rings, even though they are never oiled and constantly exposed to a humid, oxidizer rich environment I recommend adding a couple of the Occidental Leather 2003 Oxy Tool Shields if you'll be carrying sharp, pointy stuff like chisels and awls. I highly recommend this durable little sucker. Update 5/24/23: 8" Tote still going strong. I have it so overloaded that I needed a lighter troubleshoot bag. So I bought the shoulder bag, too. Perfect! I also have the backpack. Anything better (Veto, Occidental) costs at least twice as much for comparable products. I especially like that all the Kleins have molded bottoms. That's a huge plus in my wet line of work. I used to have to worry about finding a place to hang my bags so they didn't soak up tons of salt/chlorinated water. Not a problem now. Hope the QC is as good if I ever have to replace in future. Would definitely recommend and purchase again. Read more

I've been an HVAC technician for 7 years. I've used this bag for the majority of my career. The size is prefect, not to big that it gets to heavy, and not to small that it can't carry what you need. The external strap to hold your drill is great. I also like that I have the option to use the shoulder strap or the handle to carry. I've weighed my bag, and with everything in it, it's 25 pounds. If you remove the impact driver is closer to 20 pounds. I'm on my 3rd bag. They seem to last 2-3 years of daily use. The biggest failure point is the zipper for the bigger storage compartment on the side. Overtime they stop zipping back up. This has led me to leave the pouch partially open all the time to help keep the zipper intact for longer. There is a small pouch on the outside near the drill strap that also wears a hole in it over time. Given the price of this bag, I think a 2-3 Year working lifespan is more than adequate. If you like open tool bags, your gonna love this bag. It will be a sad day when they stop making them. Read more

Loaded full this is the most manageable tool bag I've ever owned. I use it for service work on garage doors. Easy to locate tools in the bag easy too see if your missing something. Sides and dividers are stiff, no flop over. Handle stays upright as well. I almost purchased a different bag like my previous tool bag. So glad I found this bag superior in every way. Read more
