Giving these knives 5 stars for what they are, and the price, but there are a few things you should be aware of before purchasing. First off, the good...They are nice and sharp out of the box, and cut fruits & veggies and bread with ease! The covers fit well, and are easy to both remove and put back on, without issue. They feel good in the hand, and the silicone piece on the handle allows for a good grip when you're using them. The non-stick coating seems to work well, and although I'm sure they're dishwasher safe as the description states, I always hand wash knives. Now for the bad, or more so the realities of knives like this... They have plastic handles with a piece of silicone, and DO NOT have a full tang (meaning the metal blade does not extend through the entire length & width of the handle). Because of this, you will need to be careful if you're trying to use them to cut tougher / thicker items (think big / thick potatoes, tough watermelon rind, root vegetables, etc). The blades are a little thinner than I had hoped, but they I think they should be great for use specifically on fruits / vegetables & baked goods, or for something non-full time use like a camp box. I would not recommend or suggest them to be your primary set of kitchen knives, as they just won't easily handle tougher items well, or last / retain their edge for a long period of time. At $30, for 6 knives, they're certainly a great value / deal, and are definitely worth what they cost, but just be realistic with your use case when purchasing. Again, this isn't to say they don't work well / aren't sharp / don't cut well, but over time they will not be as durable as more expensive, full tang knives, and will have limitations as to what you can safely cut with them, without potentially damaging the joint where the blade and the handle come together. Again, they will be perfect for specific use cases, but would not recommend these (or ANY set of non-full tang knives) for your only or primary set of kitchen knives. Read more

This set reminds me of the Cuisinart set but with a few differences. There are a couple of knives sizes in this set that isn't in the name brand set, which is a nice bonus. The colors are softer so its less distracting when you are focused on cutting. The serrated knife in this set is much better at cutting tomatoes versus my Cuisinart scalloped one. The blades appear to be a little thinner though and I'm a little more concerned about them potentially chipping. It hasn't happened but I'm still anxious about the potential. They are sharp as of now. The handles are different on these as well. Its more of a hard rubber for gripping which is better for my liking, than what the name brand offers. I can hold these equally as well and they are light weight. They each come with their own knife cover so you can store them in an open drawer or transport with food if you need to. These are a great value at the half-price point of the name brand version. Read more

This knife set covers all the bases for your kitchen chopping and cutting. My first impression I had is that these knives are more than adequate for the casual cook. You can't expect professional quality knives at this price point, but they certainly can handle a lot. They are pretty to look at and the handles feel good in your hands. Each of these knives come with a cover to protect the blade and are easy to put on and take off. They are very sharp and the bread knife does a nice job, and cutting any fruit or vegetable is quick and easy. I haven't used them to cut meat yet, so I can't comment on that, but so far I'm pleased with them. I like that it has a non-stick coating too. The only negative thing I can say is that the blades are a bit thin and do not extend into the handle, so just be aware of that. They are lightweight instead of my more expensive knives, but I'm good with that too. Also, like most of my knives, I hand wash them instead of throwing them into the dishwasher. This knife set would be a nice addition to any kitchen. I recommend them. Read more

For the price, these knives are fine. I have to often replace knives because of where I live everything rusts. Yes, even stainless steel rusts on the Texas Gulf Coast. Because of this, I no longer like to spend a lot of money on knives. These are very affordable, and I like the variety of colors. These are perfect for what I need them for. Read more

First off, I want to talk about how pretty this set is. The pastel colors are super pretty. These knives come sharp right out of the box. They are sharp and cut fruit, veggies, and chicken well. I love that each knife comes with a cover to protect the blade. This not only protects the blade, but it will also ensure that these knives last for a while. It is easy to put the cover back on and off. The non-stick coating on them is a nice touch. I will say that I do not think that they are dishwasher safe because of this coating. The handles are nice, and they feel good in my hands. I would recommend hand washing them, which is what I will be doing. I will say that I worry about how these knives will hold up to cutting thicker items like potatoes. This is because the metal blade does not extend through the entire length of the handle. The blades are also a little thinner than I would have liked. While they are not premium chef-grade blades, they are perfect for everyday use for slicing, dicing, and chopping. It is the perfect set for newlyweds or even for someone living alone. This is perfect for casual cooks or anyone looking to make their kitchen look happier. Read more
