Sharp, but does not last.
After a little over one year of use, one of the knives broke in half while cutting a tomato. This knife was my favorite knife and is only used to cut normal kitchen foods like meats or vegetables. I guess the tomato was too much for it to handle today, so I had to finish cutting the tomato with the next sized smaller knife. I did not realize how thin and cheaply made the knife was until I observed the metal piece that is held in place by the handle; which appears to be only around 1/4 inch wide (see photo). I really loved this knife prior to now, because it is very sharp and maintains its edge. The hammered pattern is attractive and seems to help release the food when cutting. Knowing now how it lacks the thickness needed to last beyond a little over a year, I would not buy this set again. Read more

Showed up missing the 8 inch knife. What a pain to have to ship it back and wait for another to be delivered. Dont wait your time or money. Seemed cheap. Holder is gonna break in no time. Read more
