Works well to sharpen knife. Very cool design and it’s very strong and durable. It is a bit awkward to figure out, but instructions help. Very nice box for storage. My first use of this fun, easy knife sharpener kit was for a used knife block set I bought. The knives were quite dull. I used the paper cutting test before and after sharpening each knife in the set. Wow what a difference! This knife sharpener worked well. I found it straight forward to use following the diagram instructions that came with the kit but you definitely get more information and better instruction by watching the videos associated with the Amazon listing. You can’t use the tumbler to sharpen paring knives but it is a bonus that the magnet block has two levels of sharpening slots in it for the smaller knives plus another area for scissors. Didn’t use the product because the base that holds the knife felt too cheap to rely on. For one, the magnetic strip on one end was placed on crooked (photo). Second, I expect a base that holds a knife to feel sturdy. This one doesnt. It feels like cheap plastic that would eventually give out with normal use. Would rather spend more elsewhere and hopefully get something higher quality than this. 2 stars because the rolling component had nice weight to it and spun smoothly. Would guess it works well, but it shouldve been paired with a sturdier base. Read more
I don’t write reviews, but this sharpener is amazing! The pictures are before and after of one of my knives, you may have to zoom to see the chip, but it was significant. Don’t ask me how it happened, no idea, but I thought the knife was ruined. I’ve tried other sharpeners, useless, too complicated error prone. Saw the national brand rolling sharpener and was interested. Read the reviews and the Invictus was half the price and had better reviews. Got it and it took me about 15 minutes of work and the chip is gone!! The knife is back to original sharpness. Couple of things to note, you’re not sharpening a cleaver with this. You cannot sharpen anything with a blade depth of more than 2”. It’s not one pass and done. It takes time, in this case about 15 minutes of rolling. However, for a small money and time investment I got one of my favorite knives back. Well worth it! Read more
