This rolling knife sharpener kit is excellent. The magnetic angle guides at 15 and 20 degrees make sharpening very easy, even for beginners. The diamond and ceramic rollers work well on all my kitchen knives, and the results are impressively sharp with just a few passes. The build quality feels solid, and the wooden finish looks nice on the counter. It saves time compared to traditional sharpeners and gives professional-level results at home. Definitely worth it for anyone who cooks regularly. Read more

This rolling knife sharpener works great! The 15° and 20° magnetic guides make it simple to get the perfect angle. The diamond side sharpens fast, and the ceramic side finishes smoothly. My knives were noticeably sharper in minutes. Safe, stylish, and very easy to use — I highly recommend it. Read more

Bought this sharpener to try out after watching reviews. Have previously used whetstones, Lansky systems, a Chef's Choice electric sharpener, and others. Was curious how it would stack up. The product is pretty much fool-proof, and is much easier to use compared to learning with whetstones, mostly because the angled block holds your angle for you. The abrasive wheel does not take much material off with each pass, so no real danger of overuse and damaging the blade. It was not easy to create a burr, and I would recommend just rolling in 60 second increments on both sides and checking. The honing side is ok and does its job. This will not outperform a whetstone, those are used by professionals for a reason. This product would not get a knife sharp enough to shave, but it did have the knife going through pork belly like butter. I would also say that a good electric sharpener would be better for most given they are equally easy but quicker, but they also cost more and take up more room. This is ideal for people who want to sharpen knives but don't want to spend hours practicing on a whetstone. This is small and easy to store, doesn't require electricity so it can be used anywhere. Also, I love that this is a quarter of the price of the name-brand Tumbler. I recommend for anyone other than a professional cook. Read more

I recently picked up the Rolling Knife Sharpener Kit, and I have to say, it’s been a game-changer for my kitchen knives. I was a bit skeptical at first, but using this sharpener has made my dull blades razor-sharp again. What I love most is how easy it is to use. The magnetic support keeps everything in place while you sharpen, which is super helpful. I’ve tried sharpening at both the 15-degree and 20-degree angles, and I appreciate having that flexibility depending on the knife's purpose. The combination of diamond and ceramic discs really works wonders. It only takes a few passes, and my knives are not only sharp but they also feel safe to handle. I’ve also noticed that they stay sharp longer than they did with my previous sharpener, which is a huge plus. The design looks pretty nice too. The wood finish adds a touch of elegance to my countertop, and the strong magnets ensure everything stays secure while I work. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this sharpener to anyone looking to give their kitchen knives a new lease on life! It’s become a staple in my kitchen tools, and I couldn't be happier with it and for the price point it was a great value for the money. Read more

Okay, here's a review of the AIERLIAN Rolling Knife Sharpener Kit with Diamond, covering both potential pros and cons: Review: AIERLIAN Rolling Knife Sharpener Kit - A Promising but Potentially Fussy Approach The AIERLIAN Rolling Knife Sharpener Kit takes a unique approach to knife sharpening, utilizing a rolling mechanism and diamond abrasives. This kit aims to provide a more consistent and controlled sharpening experience compared to freehand methods. While it shows promise, it also comes with some caveats. What I Liked: Controlled Sharpening Angle: The core appeal of this kit is its ability to maintain a consistent sharpening angle. The rolling guide, combined with the adjustable height settings, helps users achieve a more uniform bevel than they might be able to do freehand. This is a boon for those struggling with inconsistent angles using traditional stones. Good Variety of Abrasives: The diamond sharpening stones included offer a good range of grits, allowing for effective edge repairs, sharpening, and honing. The diamond abrasives cut quickly and efficiently, making the process relatively fast. This includes a coarse diamond for repairing damaged edges and fine diamond for putting a razor-sharp edge. Potentially Easy to Learn: While it takes practice to master the technique, the rolling motion is arguably more intuitive for some than the traditional push-and-pull method on whetstones. The guide rails help steer the sharpener along the blade. Compact and Portable: The kit is relatively small and easy to store, making it convenient for small kitchens or for those who need to sharpen their knives on the go. Sturdy Construction: The main body and guide rails feel well-built, suggesting the tool can withstand regular use. What I Didn't Like: Learning Curve is Present: While arguably easier than freehand, it takes time and experimentation to master the correct pressure, speed, and motion with this rolling system. It's not a "plug-and-play" solution and requires patience. Potentially Awkward on Larger Knives: Some users might find it challenging to maneuver larger knives on this setup. The space for the knife to roll is limited, and longer blades can be cumbersome to manage. Diamond Abrasives Can Feel Aggressive: While the diamond abrasives are efficient, they can also be aggressive. Beginners may accidentally remove too much material if they aren't careful with their pressure and strokes. Price Point: The AIERLIAN kit might be more expensive than basic sharpening steels or single-grit stones, which may be a barrier for some. Maintenance: Keeping the wheels and diamond stones clean is crucial for optimal performance. This requires some extra effort. Overall: The AIERLIAN Rolling Knife Sharpener Kit is a decent option for individuals looking to achieve consistent sharpening angles and a sharper edge. Its main strengths are the controlled rolling motion and efficient diamond abrasives. However, users should be prepared for a learning curve and be mindful of the potential for over-sharpening. It may not be the best fit for very large knives or for those seeking the simplicity of traditional sharpening tools. Who is this for? Suitable for: Those who struggle with maintaining angles when freehand sharpening. Potentially suitable for: Enthusiast home cooks interested in a slightly more advanced sharpening system. Not ideal for: Professional chefs who rely on traditional methods or those with large knife collections. Recommendation: If you are willing to invest the time to learn the technique and appreciate the controlled angle this sharpener provides, the AIERLIAN Rolling Knife Sharpener Kit can be a worthwhile purchase. However, weigh its cost and learning curve against the benefits before making a decision. Consider your knife collection and skill level before committing to this specific sharpening method. Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars. It's a good concept with good execution, but the learning curve and limitations prevent it from being perfect for everyone. Read more
