Awesome sunglasses. I am a person who has extremely sensitive eyes, and won't buy any sunglasses that aren't polarized. This rules out a lot of cool sunglasses that are cutesy and stylish, and a LOT of the ones that are inexpensive. Knockarounds are inexpensive yet of amazing quality. My brother introduced me to them as the "lifeguard brand" since they are awesome at getting rid of the glare so you can see on the water clearly, yet if they get lost in the ocean it's not a very expensive tragedy. These are really lightweight and actually stay on your head well. The lenses and frames come in different color combinations so you can have multiple pairs or get each person a different one. You can even customize a pair to your exact specifications on the website which is pretty cool and a direct competitor to Ray Ban at a fraction of the price. I really enjoy these. The lenses are not hugely oversized for women and not grossly undersized for men, they're a great universal size. The case is a microfiber soft case which does double duty as a cleaning cloth as well. I love the blue lens version which you see out of while wearing as a yellow tint. It does an awesome job at being a "blue blocker" and getting rid of the high energy wavelengths that you don't want in your eyes. I will absolutely be purchasing more of these, in different colors, and in the aviator style. A+! Read more

These sunglasses are amazing! They not only look great, but they also feel very well made. The frame is sturdy and lightweight, and the lenses offer exceptional clarity. Plus, they are very comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. Best of all, the price is very reasonable compared to the quality they offer. I highly recommend them Read more

Very surprised by the quality. Bought to travel with without worrying about my expensive pair getting damaged in my backpack. Anyways these are very high quality and I’m now using them for everyday use after my trip. The arms are thinner and pair well when wearing my over the ear headphones vs my other pair. No creaking or noises like some of the really cheap brands. Great shades for a budget. Read more

I am using these as my edc sunglasses. They work as advertised and have minimal reflection on the inside of the lenses compared to other cheap sunglasses I have used. These glasses are good value and I don't have to worry too much about loosing or breaking then. Read more

I've been a dedicated Maui Jim customer for the past 15 years. But recently, I've had horrible luck with the durability of several of their newer frames. In the past I've driven beater cars when circumstances dictated, and last week I found myself in need of beater sunglasses. I ordered a pair of Knockaround Premium Polarized Wayfarers in black with orange lenses. Pros: -Price. Polarized sunglasses for $15 is an attractive proposition. I've been wearing polarized sunglasses for driving and water sports for a long time. While I wanted a more affordable pair of sunglasses, I wasn't about to let the full spectrum of horizontal light waves scorch my retinas. For $15 I get polarized shades that will not ruin my week if they get lost or broken. -Durability. I've worn the Knockarounds during my daily commute and while running errands for the past week. They're polycarbonate frames, and they feel plasticky. These are not carbon fiber works of art. The upshot is that they feel solid, like they could withstand some punishment without completely compromising the frame. They are VERY thin when folded up and I was surprised they shipped in such a small protective soft case. But it seems to get the job done, and the glasses and case can easily be tucked unobtrusively above the visor in my car. -Looks. These are standard Wayfarer style sunglasses. If you like the way you look in Wayfarers, you're going to be pleased with the aesthetics. If you can't pull off Ray Bans, Knockarounds are not going to be a game changer. There are many different frame/lens color combinations (selection seems to vary day to day) and I'm pretty pleased with the orange on black pair I ordered. They're a little louder than the shades I usually wear, but for $15, I can afford to be bold. -Comfort. So far, no pinched nose or chafing above my ears. I will update this review if any discomfort should develop, but I feel I've work them enough at this point, and I'm confident they're a reasonable fit for my face. Your mileage may vary. Cons: -Optics. The lenses are quite a bit darker than my more expensive sunglasses. In bright sunlight, the gradient difference is barely noticeable, and the Knockarounds are strong performers. In flatter light, particularly on a day with fresh snow on the ground and little direct sunlight, the filtration was a little more than desirable, but not enough to take off the shades. Of note, the lens coating on the side closest to the eye is highly reflective. With direct sunlight at my back, I would occasionally catch a glint of reflected sunlight on the peripheral extremes of the lenses. I have a narrow face. If you have a round head, or tend not to drive with the sun at your back, no worries. Verdict: -$15 Polarized Sunglasses. They look decent, block harmful UV rays, keep me from squinting while outdoors, and allow me to save my fragile Maui Jim sunglasses for... I don't know. Special occasions? Simply put, the compromise in optic quality is not nearly enough to detract from what is an otherwise exceptional value. Read more

These are absolute garbage. This is the replacement that knockaround sent to replace the first pair that did the same thing. These are not even two months old and have not been worn often. You’re better off to buy a generic brand from the dollar store. The arms break off at the hinge. This has happened on both pairs my husband has had and another pair we got as a gift. Absolutely do not waste your money. Read more
