Although Kohler has many overseas plants--far more than in the USA--most of the faucets it sells in the USA are still made here. That's not to say Chinese-made faucets are of lesser quality. It just might please you to know you may be helping keep manufacturing jobs in the USA when you buy Kohler. Kohler has maintained a reputation for top quality plumbing pieces for over a century. Its accessories are equal in reputation to those made by the finest American and overseas manufacturers: Grohe, hansgrohe, Delta, American Standard, Moen.... This is a beautiful three-hole faucet set in brushed nickel. It comes with a solid all-metal drain assembly, the valve in which is controlled by pushing down on the stopper rather than by a rod ascending through the lavatory top operating a lever in the drain beneath the sink. The faucet does not come with supply lines. You need to supply your own, another $20 expense to add to the price. But I regard this as a sign of quality. Instead of integrated supply lines like on many even quite expensive faucets, this faucet has copper and brass stubs going down about eight inches to standard male threaded connectors. I dislike faucets with long integrated PEX supply lines reaching all the way from the faucet valves to the shutoff valves: any problem or calcium buildup in the PEX makes repairs harder. I'd rather have a short heavy copper supply leading into the valve and easily-replaced braided stainless over rubber supply lines below. All the parts in this set are replaceable, including the lines running from hot and cold valves to the center spout. This set is easily installed. Its contemporary styling is very rounded and tubular-looking. The finish is excellent. None of the three above-the-counter parts of this faucet rests on a separate base: there are no plastic pieces to collect dirt. The central spout does have a rubber gasket beneath it which the valve handles don't. I'm not quite sure of the reason for the lack of gaskets beneath the outlying parts, but it's clear that the faucet was designed this way. There's no channel in the handle/valve bases for a rubber gasket and there is a channel as well as a gasket in the central spout's base. Overall, a really excellent faucet. I've used several Kohler products around my bathrooms and I've always rated their products within my top companies to purchase from. And this faucet system is no less amazing than the others I've used. The brushed nickel on this faucet is really gorgeous, it feels like a very soft shine, which I personally love, and never looks dirty since installing it. The wide faucet has instantly upgraded my master bathroom from an older to a more modern feel within this change. And the actual spout is a very clear channel for water to come through. The one con about this unit is that it doesn't come with a supply line, which you'll need to purchase on your own. But besides this minimal extra fee, there is absolutely zero cons to using this faucet system. Because there isn't any plastic, there is no possibility of dirt and/or bacteria to get into your faucet and sit there, which can. cause molding. Because of the copper in going down to the connectors, you're really going to avoid any calcium build up, which is such a pain to replace and even worse makes your water super unclean. This Kohler faucet system is (as usual) completely top of the line and is in a league of its own. I definitely recommend this more modern-looking faucet to elevate your bathroom immediately! Having installed several bathroom faucets, I do not consider myself an expert, but have enough experience to say that this is one of the simplest installations I’ve done. Usually, removing the old faucet goes quicker than installing the new, but it took about the same amount of time for each. I had the whole project complete in about 40 minutes. The instructions are more pictures than words, but I found them easy to follow. The handles for cold and hot are clearly labeled at the stem end. I like that there are no blue and red dots visible on the handles themselves - I always thought that makes a faucet look cheap - I mean, who doesn’t know that cold is on the right side and hot is on the left? Installing this on a pedestal sink was a one person job, since it was easy to align the handles and tighten the nut. I imagine with a vanity it might be easier with two people for the alignment. The parts feel like they are made of quality materials and have some weight to them. It is a beautiful faucet that I hope will last a long time. The finish does show water marks, but a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth is all you need to make them look perfect! Overall, it's a very modern and streamlined look, but will still go with any style home decor. Very happy! Read more
