Had their duffle bag for about 9 years now and it looks brand new. This dop kit does not disappoint either. Holds it shape every well and ample room for everything you could want to put into it. Zippers are quality, which is very important. All the right stuff in all the right places. One thing I'd recommend is treating the leather with a quality conditioner. Let it soak in and perhaps even reapply. It will soak in the conditioner and keep it looking new (do it once a year). It is kind of crazy that you can get something that looks so good for such a reasonable price. I'd highly recommend their other products as well. Read more

The bag is well made with solid stitching and quality liner. The zippers, while not YKK, seem to be more than adequate for the job, the magnetic flap closes firmly, and the supple leather has a beautiful distressed look. Speaking of leather… when the bag first arrived, it was creased and crushed, courtesy of the warehouse. The leather itself was very dry and needed to be oiled, at least in my opinion. This presented an opportunity to address both issues with one solution. I stuffed the bag with a bath towel to make it fully expand into its original shape and wiped it heavily with some Otter Wax oil I use on my aniline leather furniture. What a difference. If you’re familiar with leather care, you know that oil will initially darken the leather, but it will return to the original color in a few hours, once the oil is fully absorbed. Well, this wasn’t quite the case here, and I’m extremely happy with the outcome. Initially, the color was that of mustard. I liked it, sure, but it seemed a bit bright. Once I applied the oil, it turned dark brown, but within a couple of hours it returned to a halfway point between brown and mustard, like peanut butter, and remains this way now. The oil also allowed the leather to return to the intended shape and keep it. This is a great way to obtain a classy, durable, handmade piece of kit for an excellent price. If you need a Dopp kit and don’t care for individual organization (which I do not, as it inevitably eats up valuable space,) don’t think twice about it and just do it. :) Read more

As far as quality, I think these are good. I would say there is a big color difference between the two bags I ordered. They are in fact the same color I had to check my order, but one is much lighter than the other. I went through a local vendor to get them monogrammed. He said he didn’t have an issue burning them, but did cause a little bit of damage. Great great bag, looks/ works very well. Smells very cool. You can tell it’s very well-made out of good quality material but the hand pull broke after just several months of having this and only using it a few times I’m trying to figure out how I can get this repair repaired or warranted. This is my second purchase from KomalC. The first was a gift for my dad in the color distressed tan. We were all so satisfied and impressed by it that I finally purchased one for myself to have a father-son matching moment. This Dopp kit is utterly breathtaking and beautiful! Someone else said it has that old money look to it, and I strongly agree with that notion. The fact that it’s handmade blows me away because the attention to detail is astounding—a machine wouldn’t have been able to make it nearly as stunning. The stitch work, the distressed tanned leather, the brass ZIPPERS- sturdy, heavy duty, smooth as butter. The beautiful color of the Chicago buffalo in real life is perfect, just like the photos. The brass feet are also a practical AND aesthetic addition to the Dopp kit. The bag arrived thoughtfully placed inside of a vintage dust bag, along with thorough and specific care instructions for the leather to get the utmost use out of it. This craftsman cares and it shows— and it’s eco friendly too: buy it nice once and have it for a lifetime. My only critique would be the actual shipping packaging, I wish it came inside of a standard amazon box instead of a plastic shipping bag. The delivery person through it down some stairs and I was upset at how they treated my new bag. If it was in a box, I wouldn’t have been as worried.
