I have two labs that love to play rough. The large Air Dog balls by Kong fit their mouth nicely (not worrying about choking like normal size tennis balls). The dogs love that the ball squeaks. My labs are extremely rough on toys. I have bought every toy out there and they will destroy them over time (usually in about 2 weeks time if it is a toy that is suppose to be indestructable). For a ball - this ball lasts my dogs a couple of months. Then they tear the ball apart. For a ball to last even one week in my house is amazing. I buy approximately 6 - 8 balls a year (my children sometimes loose them outside too and we love to have more than one ball going since we have more than one dog). I would recommend this size ball to anyone who has a dog that is over 50 pounds, otherwise they might be too big for the dogs mouth. I would also recommend this toy to anyone who has dogs that are rough on toys like mine. (Just so you understand how rough my dogs are: Stuffed animals - destroyed in an hour, tennis balls ripped apart in a day, bones that are suppose to last a week are gone in an hour, etc.). The other thing that is extremely great about this ball is that it squeaks - my labs will actually pick the ball up and just squeak it with their mouths to let us know they want to play ball. And in the middle of playing, to let you know they are having fun - they will squeak it and then drop it so we can then throw it again. We also have the dumbell squeaking toy by Kong and the dogs love that toy also. Read more

Great ball. I love the Kong brand balls. They hold up well, but mine aren't active tennis ball chewers. They enjoy the squeak. The XL may have been a bit too big, but we've enjoyed watching the dogs try to work through that. Read more

We bought one of these at Pets-Mart. Our dog around 75 pounds loves it. Broke the squeakier in 3 days (maybe 45 minutes of play time). Tears the ball apart in 6 days. So we ordered two more off Amazon. We just received them in the mail. We excitedly give the dog one of his new Squeakier Balls. My wife walks in and says, "and the Neighbors thank you" because the squeaking so loud :), which is good for the Dog. 3 minutes later and the squeakier is broken. That was probably best for the neighbors sanity tonight. Dog loves it. Perfect size. But he does tear them to shreds & and the squeakers don't last long. Read more

I found these at a local big box store as a two pack for $5.99, everyday. They hold up well and my dogs love them. You have to train dogs to NOT destroy, I never understood why people allow bad behavior and then complain about it. I make a big deal about when they do get thrown away too. They last me about a couple of months and someone puts a tooth through the squeaker and the rubber inside gets broken from months of use and the felt starts coming off. I like the bigger ones as they don't get lost as easy, Read more

We got this Large Air Dog Squeaker Tennis Ball for our 80lb dog, since he easily destroys regular tennis balls with the strength of his teeth - and he loves it! He's been playing with it on & off for a few days now, and it's still in great shape - a first for him & tennis balls (smile)! Although this tennis ball was only meant for him, we've found that our 2 smaller dogs have also enjoyed playing with this big ball - even though it's really too big for them - it's really a joy to watch! Overall, I would highly recommend this squeaky tennis ball for all large-breed dogs. It seems to be quite well made & allows them to have a tennis ball that's just right for their size. Read more

Our Labrador (Katie) loves balls, especially if they squeak. The Kong Sqeakairs have been some of her favorites and we have bought half a dozen of them over the past couple of years. It's been half a dozen because, as great as these balls are, they most definitely have a somewhat short life expectancy. Our Lab isn't brutal on balls as some dogs are. She just likes to run and chase them, and then bring them back. She also likes to squeeze them to make them squeak whenever we get her really excited. Otherwise she leaves them alone. She doesn't chew or gnaw on them, or try to tear them apart. She doesn't play with them at all unless we are there to play with her as well. Each ball will last anywhere from about one to six months on average. They fail in one of two ways for us. They will come apart at the seams inside the ball or they will stop squeaking. When I say come apart at the seams inside, I say it that way because the outside cover remains intact, at least in our case. Our Lab is gentle enough that the ball retains its' ball shape. With a more 'vigorous' dog, the ball would simply fall apart. They usually won't squeak anymore when this happens because the outer cover isn't airtight, but she can get them to squeak sometimes if she squeezes them the right way. When the ball fails due to it stopping squeaking, it is almost always because the 'squeaker' has fallen out into the ball. You can hear it bouncing around inside when you shake the ball. Then the ball becomes nothing more than an oversized tennis ball. There are squeaky balls out there that are more durable than this one, such as the iSqueak balls, but Katie doesn't like them as much as this one, so we continue to buy these. I wish they'd make them more durable though. Either that, or I wish I could find a longer lasting ball that my dog likes. Read more

This is one of the favorite toys my dog has ever had, but it only lasted her about 1 hour total. It’s a mega-sized tennis ball that ALSO squeaks. Even though it’s larger than a normal sized tennis ball, Kong didn’t make the walls any thicker, so it actually makes it weaker and easier to chew up than a normal tennis ball. The squeaker is loud and it squeaks easily. If this were made stronger, I’d absolutely buy more, but for as cheap as this is, I don’t regret purchasing this for my dog, since it was definitely worth the hour of enjoyment it gave her! Read more
