As you can tell from The black controller on the right, I have been using KontrolFreek FPS Performance Thumb sticks for quite some time. Three years to be exact. The thumb sticks on the black controller were originally used on my PlayStation 4. They work so well, I am still able to use them on my PlayStation 5. I am so used to the feel and the accuracy in gameplay that now I will not play without them. Over three years time, I do not notice the difference between the original set I have versus the set I brought November 25, 2022. Other than visual wear and tear, they fell exactly the same, which speaks to its quality. At first, These thumb sticks take some getting used too. Since these make your thumb sticks slightly taller, it takes less movement, which makes gameplay more precise. When you master this new way of playing, you will notice you have an accuracy advantage on other console players. They are also rubber and do not slip. The thumb sticks are also sturdy and stay connected on top of your regular thumb sticks. Installation is easy and require no glue or adhesive. They just snap on top of the original thumb sticks. The only time they pop off is if you drop your controller on a hard surface. The pop back on easily. They seem unbreakable and sweat proof. I purchased a set of these last year but unfortunately lost one of them when I was moving from one room to another and couldn't find it (that or one of my dogs stole it, lol). So I had to come back and order another set because they are just that good! They fit perfectly on my PS5 controller and I love the the convex shape with all the ridges that make it so easy to get those precise sniper shots in Destiny 2! Everyone is different on how they like to play, but being a bigger guy with larger hands, I like the raised thumbsticks that allow my hands to rest more comfortably on the controller. KontrolFreek sells tons of other options though, I suggest giving these a try though and if they don't work for you, try another set that's lower or concave or with different textures. I just love these things as they never get slippery during Raids and they really helped to improve my aim in PVP, especially using my Staccato-46 Scout Rifle. I ordered these for my boyfriend because he said he wanted them. When we received them they were exactly what he wanted and he put them on to play the game and he ended up not liking them because he said they were taller than he thought. Overall I'm writing this review and probably will review all the KontrolFreek's I've bought here because I've got a bitter love/hate relationship with KontrolFreek. I have at this point has nine sets of various KF's fail on me, almost all of them at the 4 month mark and this is NOT with heavy usage. I'm not like an uber super streamer gamer, by far, but these things just seem to melt at the top and the cap of them turns to what I can only describe as sludge. So I talked to KF corporate support about this, and these carry a ... yes you guessed it ... 90 day warranty. Their support states and I quote, 'we recommend you replace your KontrolFreeks every 90 days to gain maximum gaming control'. So let me get this straight, I am supposed to use 4 sets of these per year at $17 @ pop (so $70'ish dollars) on top of having to buy a controller. I even sent them photos, explanations, etc. and they are just like 'cool story bro' and you would think they would care because I've bought a lot .. they don't. Check this out gang! Definitely its a good product to improve your aim! I only use one in the right joystick(R3) and its super comfortable. I was reading previous reviews and i saw a few of them stating that the thumstick have done some damage to their button. -Beware! Yes there’s the possibility that you will damage your stick if not putting it correctly, Its hard to believe but yeah theres a way to put it, not just throw and go. Refer to pics i have attached. Pic#1 its not properly mounted. You can look under the joystick Pic#2 the thumbstick is properly locking to the joystick. Make sure you lock it correctly and you will be safe! Read more
