Warning. Long review coming. I’ve had my Apple Watch Series 6 since late 2020. When I first bought it I bought a screen protector for it from Zagg which was very disappointing to say the least. I applied it as I unboxed my Apple Watch and the thing just did not stick to the screen. From that point I went without a screen protector. From then till now I picked up a noticeable amount of minor light scratches. Unfortunately I also had a couple deep scratches which to this day I know not how they can about. These bothered me a lot but I thought that it wasn’t really preventable without using some protector that looks ugly bulky or is cheap plastic. Then I stumbled on this one. The mechanism of application is interesting but it works. - PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO WATCH THE INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO BEFORE ATTEMPTING. Also make sure to follow every step carefully. Once you do, may still make mistakes (and that’s okay because you can try again) but the video is extremely clear and helpful and following it WILL give you perfect results. - The kit comes with three screen protectors and tubes of glue. Also comes with three microfibre cloths, absorption pads, cleaning stickers and cleaning pads. This may be listed in the product description but it’s important to note again because we are all human and can mess up the first or second time. My first application had a bubble to the right bottom edge that I could have loved with but chose not to so I removed the protector and tried again. - The glue works well. To be more accurate it’s more of a UV resin. Ensure to use the full bottle so that you can completely cover the surface of the screen when you apply the protector. - The UV light is useful and cures and hardens the resin well. This is important to note because in the event that you need to remove the screen protector, it will do so relatively cleanly. I’m speaking from experience (see my first point). It also factors in the fact that this protector doesn’t affect screen responsiveness. - The absorption pads work well to absorb the excess glue that may run off the sides when resting down the protector. Just be careful not to spread any resin near to it before resting down the protector as it will quickly suck the resin away. This happened to me on my second attempt. - On my third attempt, I was able to get a perfect installation. No bubbles and the screen looks amazing. The protector did not affect clarity or sensitivity. This protector covered the many scratches on my screen. The shallow scratches completely disappeared. When the screen is off, it looks brand new. When it is on, I can only faintly see the distortion caused by the deep scratches., which looked way worse before applying this protector. I’d say it’s a 95% improvement. - Should I need to take it off in the future I have no worries as your fingernail or the tip or a nail file is enough to pry it open. All-in-all, it was totally worth the purchase and will be buying again should I need more. Don’t hesitate. I would easily advise anyone who wants screen protection for their Apple Watch to buy this. I purchased this item as a last hope for my Apple Watch. As you can see in the pictures, my watch was extremely scratched up, and the price to have the screen repaired is around $400 which is more than I paid for it. I figured I’d purchase this kit and pray that it helps my situation. This kit isn’t exactly meant to repair your screen, this is to provide a layer of protection; that being said, the glue does a great job at filling in scratches on your screen. I knew that I would mess this installation up because that’s just how I am, I always make some sort of mistake when doing this type of stuff. However, to my surprise, the process was pretty simple and straight forward and it came out absolutely flawless! After a couple days, a deep scratch on my screen began to show through, and a tiny air bubble (barely noticeable) started to form. It’s been about a week since I completed this screen repair and the air bubble that did begin to form somehow is mostly disappeared now?? I’m not quite sure how that worked out but it did. As said previously, this kit is not exactly meant for repairing your screen, though it did do an amazing job and looks infinitely better than it did before! As for the quality of the product, a lot of the time I don’t notice it’s even on, it is made of tempered glass so it feels just like the default screen on my watch. It does add slight thickness to the watch but only about a millimeter. As to be expected with all screen protectors, I do notice that it is slightly less responsive due to the added thickness but it’s barely noticeable, I’m the type of person to use everything without screen protectors so I have been a bit spoiled with the effortless feel of typing in my passcode, and once I applied this screen protector there were times that the screen did not pick up on my wimpy touch but that’s how it is with all screen protectors. All in all, I’m satisfied with how my watch turned out and will recommend this to anyone who’s either trying to protect their screen or even using this as a way to get out of a $400 bill from Apple charging you for a new screen!
