At first I thought, what a great lightweight yet snuggly warm sleeping bag for my sweet rescue (3 year old) pup. I got her a year ago and have been working through many phobias and anxiety issues due to abuse. I had an old worn out bag (from earlier dog/family member that previously passed away due to old age) that she would use. However, she avoided this new bag as though it would hurt her somehow? Long story short, after washing it 3 times she finally accepted it and loves it! I noticed a funny smell when first unwrapping it so of course washed it before I ever introduced it to her. But whatever chemical it was must have been extremely potent as it took three washings to really get it gone and acceptable to my sweet Luna. She tends to overheat in it so I just taught her how to lay in it with her head sticking out and then all was good! Read more

We got one to take camping and it is comfortable and warm, but not as waterproof as I expected. Easy to wash, and dogs can use it open or closed (although it’s fun trying to get a 65lb dog in it facing the right way to zip it!). Packs up fairly small and light. Would recommend. My name is Lucy and I’m a 40 lb beagle mix and I approve of this sleeping bag! My parents have brought me on a couple camping trips so far with this sleeping bag and it’s kept me cozy when it dipped into the 30s. As far as durability, I’m past chewing age but I think it’s about as chew proof as a human sleeping bag. While it’s not completely waterproof, whatever moisture might seep into the bottom of the bag dries out quickly in front of the campfire. My only complaint is the zipper and I’m not going to take off a star because that’s pretty minor, my mom just avoids unzipping it completely. I use this as my blanket on my bed even when not camping! My mom has washed this sleeping bag in the regular wash with cold water and dried in the drier on low heat and it’s stood up to multiple washings already and it’s still as floofy as the day I got it! My chihuahua loves it. It's warmer than just covering her with a regular blanket, and it keeps her from stealing my covers. I usually unzip it rather than have her crawl in. She lays on it, then fidgets around to cover herself as much as she wants. It was worth the 30 bucks because she feels like she's got a little spot of her own. Read more

Unless you have to have the design, I would say pass on this one. It WAY overpriced for how its made. You can go to the local thrift store and get one for 5-10 bucks max in a kid size and it would work better. Pictures are deceiving, it is not that big. We have a Rhodesian Ridgeback Lab Mix who is 95 lbs., cannot get inside the bag. We just open it and cover him or he lays on it. it does NOT have a good base cushion, it is literally just thin stuffing like a sleeping bag. It was a real disappointment. Save your money. Read more

I bought this sleeping bag for my 18 pound dog to use when sleeping in our tent. It is a bit big for her, but I would rather that than it be too small. She does not usually sleep under the covers, so I did not know how she would take to it, but she climbs right in and even likes it zipped completely closed. I have washed it and no damage.
