I mean, I guess I survived without too much whining because a couple of minutes later, I reassigned my precious nails to a darling 50-year-old vintage Vaseline container featuring The Three Bears, which I now thoroughly enjoy every time I hang a picture. The nails work great and are easy to use. You simply choose the correct size from the vast array of choices from the collection provided, mark the spot where you want the nail to go, and then gently tap the nail into the wall with a hammer at just the right angle. If you think you can do that, you will find yourself quite successful with this product. The collection features several sizes, making it quite versatile for a varity wall decor uses. I have already used all of the sizes, I think, depending on the size and weight of the picture I have been hanging. No heads have broken off, not even when I have had to remove them with the claw hammer, so I believe the material they are made of must be fairly heavy. None have bent, even when I have loosey-goosey tried to adjust their placement by tapping them from different angles. I bought these to do small jobs around the house. They are great for hanging pictures and other small wall decor. Some of the nails had odd-shaped heads or extra bits of metal stuck to them, but the defects were a very small percentage. One nail actually started to crumple into an S shape because I hit a stud, so these are definitely better for drywall. For what I bought them for, they're pretty good! I gave 4 stars because I wanted them to be a bit stronger. Would I buy them again? Yes! ...but I won't have to. Even with the defective ones, 700 nails ought to last me a long time!
