This was definitely a nice update to add an additional monitor to my laptop. It was quick and easy to set up. The colors are vibrant and it reacts very quickly. I have even been able to connect my iPad and watch a movie while camping. It’s not too heavy and the cover allows me to place it in my backpack to carry with me easily. It comes with a cover that can be used as a stand, but it’s not real secure or stable but as long as the surface it is on is solid it will work fine. The speaker sound is good, as long as your not blasting them wide open. Read more

I feel bad removing a star for the stand/bag, but it is so aggravating and the makers could have fixed the issue by simply adding a little foldable attachment or piece of plastic to prop it up. Instead we are given this magnetic bag which seems cool in theory but is awkward to fold and holds up the monitor only half the time. The monitor, the more important thing and what you're paying for, works fine. It easily connects and powers on via included USB-C cable. My MacBook had no problem finding it and optimizing the display. You can adjust the settings with some buttons on the top right and it even has a 3.5mm jack for audio (if anyone is still using one of those). The monitor is very lightweight (the bag weighs about the same) so it's no problem to carry around with a laptop. For as annoying the stand aspect of the bag is, it does a good job of protecting the monitor with a ruggidized plastic/magnet hybrid, snug fit, feel. It's just horrible folding it into a stand. Don't get me wrong, this is a good, portable monitor and you can do as I do and prop it up on something else. Also there are different models of this that come with a foldable stand, I would recommend going that option instead because it seems worth it in hindsight. Read more

I'm loving this monitor! So portable. Literally, the case becomes the stand. It arrives with the cables you need, unless you need a lightning adapter, you'd have to provide that. It comes with a power cord and brick, a USB-C to USB-C, and a mini HDMI. Setup was no hassle at all. Right out of the box it works once it is plugged in. Standard automatic setup is 80% brightness. Any more than that and you need the external power plugged in but without increasing it, you can use your device to power it if necessary. I have turned on the HDR resolution so that it look more like my macbook pro screen. Quality seems great with that turned on. Without it turned on it isn't bad, just not as pretty as the HDR. I could extend my monitor screen and background like any other monitor with ease in my settings to be configured in the setup I desire. Volume was the only part I wasn't initially sure about but yet again it was ridiculously easy. Speakers remain on your computer at plug in. All I had to do was change it in the audio setting to the primary output if desired. If you want sound out of your native mac speakers and the KYY at the same time, just go into your MIDI setup and create a multi-output device by selecting both the mac and the KYY. I then just decreased the volume on the KYY, via the settings menu, to match more evenly with the back for balance. No issues with playback for video or anything when I'm editing video or streaming. Ports for the KYY are on the screen's right and my Mac ports are on the left, so there is plenty of cord length, you may even want some cable wraps. I am thoroughly impressed by this device and VERY happy to have a functional on the go setup now! 10/10! Read more

Since the pandemic I have been working remotely more often and doing more travel, working from different locations. In my office I have two external monitors for my laptop, but taking them on the road would be ridiculously awkward and cumbersome. It is a big switch to go down from three screens to one, though. When I saw this, I saw a potential solution to my problem. This screen is easily transportable, it's basically the size of a manila envelope or a Macbook Air, and all I need to use it is one USB C cable for video and one USB C cable for power. The size, color, and resolution are good. I plugged it in and it worked right off, without any need for drivers or configuration. I have successfully tested it with my Windows laptop, Linux laptop, and even a Chromebook. The sleeve/case that it comes in folds into a stand, which is very convenient. I had a hard time figuring out how to fold it correctly the first time, despite the two different sets of diagrams included -- one in the manual and another printed on a separate sheet in the box. The stand is just a sort of wedge with a "rib" so that you can lean the monitor against it and hopefully it won't slide off. It does not attach to the monitor in any way so it makes me a little nervous that the monitor could fall off. I think it's fine for sitting in the center of a table in private, but I would be scared to use it in a coffee shop where someone could bump into it and send it falling to the table or the floor. Despite that, I am loving the portability, slimness, and usefulness of this portable monitor! Read more

The monitor, picture quality, and it's portability is fine. It has a few connection options which allow it to be easily setup and function well for both that support it phones or another laptop. However, their claim of "stable foldable smart cover" is a bit of a stretch. It's a bit finicky to get stablized to be frank, and could use a redesign. I'll eventually 3D print something for it.
