If you know what you’re doing it works well. The only issue I had is it made my hands tacky. My son hasn’t had any complaints of itching, burning, flaking product etc. Now I’m not the one using it but I am the one styling my son’s hair every morning. The instructions say to put it on your hands and rub. I don’t. I sprinkle it directly to the root and to a little shake and shimmy his hair and it gets the volume he wants. His style lasts all day. I read the 1 star reviews first before I buy anything. This product although had a lot of those it all seemed like people who didn’t know what a styling powder is or how to use it. It is for getting extreme volume at the roots not for slicking hair back. For that to stay you have to have a heavyish product and you have to work it into the hair. It’s not supposed to leave hair shiny. As far as size for price I think this is a great cheaper option than the big sexy hair texturizing powder.
