I use this to balance 1,000 plus Horsepower engine rotating assemblies. I've calibrated it with a certified 500g weight, and it was spot-on after the initial calibration. During shipping the sensitive and delicate mechanisms (load sensors, springs, etc.) get jostled around and come out of calibration. It is well packaged but count on shipping agents tossing it around. Absolutely calibrate it and follow the recommended temp variance tolerances. Give it 3 seconds to stabilize after you've placed something on it to weigh and I've found you'll get absolute repeatable results. BTW, I am at this point not an Amazon vine free product review recipient, so I paid for this myself and every review was a vine review when I took a chance on it. Great quality, accurate, but remember this is a laboratory quality device. It is sensitive to temperature, being on a level surface, and even a fan blowing overhead can alter the readings. It works perfectly for engine balancing to 0.01-gram accuracy. Having been through 4 other balances in 3 months, I am very pleased to find one that works exactly as it should. Read more

Review of B0F22FB1VQ - SASVY Lab Scale 5000g x 0.01g Precision Scale: I put on a solid level surface, leveled the feet, allowed 30 minutes to acclimatize to ambient temperature, then calibrated using the included 500g weight. I tested using the same 500g weight and a couple of 20g calibration weights. Each time it was spot on. Counting requires first weighing exactly 10 of the subjects to be counted so the scale can establish an average weight of each item, then it can display a count of the number of items. If higher accuracy is required, up to 1000 items can weighed to determine the average before counting. Very accurate down to 0.01g as described. I like that it can be powered either by 100V AC or its built in rechargeable battery. Very easy to use. Read more

This scale is a beast! I should have looked at the specs more closely as I was surprised at the size and weight of this. It is a nice and very solid unit. I cure my own bacon, and other things, and this is a great unit to get accurate weights of meats as well as curing salts. Getting to hundredths of grams is a nice feature most kitchen scales don't have. It is a fairly large unit (not cumbersome) so it doesn't live on our counter like our small, battery powered scale does. This requires a plug and a bit of space. For our needs this is great for food safety and bulk processing. I can see this as a bonus when we dry age as well. I also love that a check weight is included. It's nice to be able to quickly and easily verify (and adjust) for accuracy. Read more
Never received the product—November 10, 2025
I just turned it on, and the reading on the screen has been jumping around for five minutes straight—it hasn't stopped yet. I haven't even had a chance to use it... ready to return it and buy one from another brand. Read more

You'd think most homeowners wouldn't need a scientific precision scale; that a kitchen scale accurate to the gram or tenth of a gram would be enough, right? That's true, unless you are an enthusiastic home cook or involved in a hobby where precision matters, such as coffee, baking, or mixing small amounts of chemicals or additives. I have cooked with a scale for decades now, but occasionally, my regular scale is too coarse (i.e., not granular enough) for measuring small amounts of something. This is great. It has a capacity of 5000g or 5kg and precision to the hundredth of a gram. Now that's awesome. It can switch modes between grams, oz, counting, and pounds. It also comes with a calibration weight (500g) so you can always re-tune it, although I am aware that even the calibration weights between scales can differ slightly (even for the same weight). I appreciate that you can power this device directly by plugging it into an AC outlet, but it also comes with an onboard rechargeable battery. Lastly, I like that it has a wide base (about 7x6 inches) so you can fit something with a large bottom surface (like a mixing bowl) or use the surface to put multiple smaller items when you're counting, for example. Yes, I’m liking this 5000 x 0.01g balance so far. I’ve tested quite a few different digital balances and I like this one pretty well. My first impression is that it feels substantially solid compared to some others, like maybe it’s got a little better build quality. In fact, this scale itself has a mass of 1.925 kg, making if feel quite hefty. The tray is reversible, that’s a nice feature, too. I like the bright green LED display. It’s hard to say if I actually prefer it to a good backlit LCD display, but I think maybe I do. The LED display is bright and mostly clear – with the one caveat being some internal reflections and “diffusion” of the LED light from the plastic membrane that covers the display. It is not perfectly optically transparent as a piece of glass would be and thus looks slightly fuzzier around display segments than it might otherwise. The display has a dedicated single LED to indicate which unit is selected, lb, oz, ct, or g. And, that set of units may seem limited to some other scales. But it’s all you need and also spares the hassle of cycling through say – 12 different units to cycle back to the one you want! That makes this balance easier to use than the others. It has the requisite TARE function and that works fine. The scale comes with a 500 g calibration weight. Out of the box, this indicated 5000.34 grams when placed on the scale. Another nice feature is the built-in rechargeable battery and real “hardware” on/off power switch, rather than a soft power switch. There is no auto power-down feature but I found that the battery easily lasted for two full days of use out of the box without being plugged in, and with that LED display shinning the whole time. I give it five stars for simplicity of use, sufficient features, solid build quality, a nice display and a built-in battery and power supply which serves to recharge the battery. Read more
