I love this thermometer- a lovely decoration in my kitchen window. However, we had a -18 degrees Farenheit snow here in the mountains and it broke the thermometer. I'd buy again and just bring it inside for this occasional extreme cold. If you don't live where it gets this cold, this a great decorative outdoor thermometer. Read more

Do not order this. It didn't work from day 1. The temperature display only went to 15 degrees nothing in the middle then more red at the top from 100 degrees to 120 degrees. I tried to return it but it said no returns or refunds. Read more

The suction cups hold on strong. The temperature if accurate and it is easy to read. The value of money is there concidering it’s 8” tall. The numbers are small but the red strip to read gets bold at the right angle and makes it easier to read. Mine has a cardinal on it and the colors are so pretty. There is no battery life. Read more

I wasn't going to write anything and just eat the cost of this but seeing as it's become useless... It had been fine up until a very cold night. A few degrees different than my outdoor digitals but that was ok. A couple of weeks back the temperature dropped to 20 below--I was up at 2 AM and checked. When I checked the temp in the morning on this thermometer, I saw that the "mercury" had split apart. It shows that it can got to -22 or less. That shouldn't have been a problem. Obviously it was. I brought it in and warmed it to room temperature. I've shaken it to try to get the fluid down. I've tried warming it to 110 degrees. Different things all to no avail. So now it's just an ornament. No idea whether it would have failed at "only" -10, 0, 10,... What about someone in Phoenix and 120 in the shade. Would it fail then? As for the suction cups, they are fine. Clean the surface well before attaching. It's winter and was cold when I attached it to the window. It didn't fall off at 20 below. After I tried to fix it, I simply reinstalled it. It's been as high as 58 degrees and as low as 10 since that. There have also been very high wind gusts as well as snow and freezing rain. The suctions cups have held. I just took it off to take the picture and write this. Read more

I love the cardinal on this, and that swayed me. But it has suction cups that adhere to the outside of the window. These DO NOT HOLD long-term. Within a week, it fell off. I put it back up. Another 10 days or so, it fell off again. I put it back up. The third time it fell, the thermometer tube fell out and broke. Wasted thermometer. Bought one that is more sturdy. Read more
