I got these boots as a Christmas gift for my 30-year-old daughter, and I’m really excited about them. As someone who isn’t an expert in women’s footwear, I knew I wanted something unique and stylish—something that stands out. These boots definitely fit the bill, with their sleek suede outer and mid-heel design that adds a touch of flair. In terms of quality, the boots feel well-made and sturdy. They’re pull-on style, and the seams and sole are well-constructed. Something happened to me with these boots that has never happened to me before: the heel broke after the first wearing. In so many ways, these were the boots of my dreams: they were unique, made out of soft yet durable suede and looked ultra rich, plus they were just the right height and had the perfect heel. So excited was I that as soon as I got them, they were out of the box and on my feet. I had three glorious hours in them - and then I tried to take them off. I guess it just wasn't my day - or else these are unforgivably badly made boots, because as I tried to use the classic removal maneuver called "push your toes into the back of the boot and push down", the unbelievable happened: the heel broke off. Or rather, the heel bent forward at an unnatural angle, revealing its inner skeleton and rendering said boot utterly unwearable. Yes, that's right, after just one wearing, my boots - my perfect, long-awaited and too briefly enjoyed boots - simply BROKE. So I guess that says something about the quality. And the design. And the lack of a "boot checker", or a quality control dept or an intelligent designer at the boot factory. Such a disappointment! These boots promised so much and delivered so little. Our time together was brief, but beautiful. Although they were not pricey, considering what "black suede stiletto over the knee boots" could cost you, if they charged $5 more and spent it on perfecting the design, it would not have gone amiss. These are very pretty boots. They fit true to size, although there is not a lot of extra room for thick tights. They are comfortable to wear. They don't push or pinch on the toes or feet. There is some cushion on the insole. The slender heel and 3.5" height is sexy and flattering. They do not have a zipper, so they are pull on and off. They are a little difficult to remove, requiring lots of wiggling and pulling on the heel of the boot to get off. Holding and pinching on the heel counter of the boot to remove it cause it to buckle and fold in, leaving an indentation, but I need to hold and pinch this area to remove the boot. Once it is removed, I need to reshape and push the indentation out. It really should have a zipper for easier removal. The color of the suede is lighter and different then the color of the boot itself. It looks like it is 2 tone and not 1 solid matching color. The apricot color has more of a Dijon mustard yellow tone. These are pretty boots, and I love the look of them. But I wish they were easier to slip off and that the colors matched better. These are my new favorite boots. They look amazing no matter what you wear them with. You can wear dress up with a dress or a skirt or even with jeans. They are so easy to wear and so comfortable on. They slip on so easy. The fold down part is like a suede fabric and the toe is like a faux leather material. I love these boots and highly recommend them to anyone on the fence about buything them.
