Laifug Large Orthopedic Premium Memory Foam Dog Bed Dog Sofa with Washable and Removable Suede Cover Waterproof Liner

I first bought a knock-off version of this dog bed from another online pet retailer (rhymes with blue-y) as it was quite a bit cheaper at the time. Six months later we got a second dog and the price differences between beds was negligible, so I jumped on this one instead. The differences in quality between the two beds is apparent, and after 3 years, I would buy this bed again and again over the knock-off version. The waterproof cover is great, as one of our dogs had accidents when we first got him. I had to purchase a separate mattress protector for the other bed, as there was no barrier over the foam. There went most of my cost savings from the cheaper bed. The zippers are more durable and better quality, the bolster material is sturdier and holding up great, while the knock-off version is sagging everywhere. There's even the non-skid bottom on this one the knock-off is lacking. I saw another comment that the foam is stiffer on this bed, which it is. It's definitely more like a memory foam, while the other bed is more like "egg-crate" foam. My dogs had no issue with the foam stiff-ness, and after all this time, the softer, cheaper foam on the other version is sagging and looking really ragged. This foam on this version has held up beautifully. Every time I take apart the beds for washing (which I need to do, don't mind how dirty the beds are in the pictures), I compare how sad the other bed looks as this point, and I wish I had just purchased two of these instead. I will say, my dogs are not diggers or chewers. No, this bed is not going to hold up to being left alone with a dog that does either. I have a 60 lb lab and an 80 lb lab/shepherd mix and the large bed size works great for both of them, with room to spare. A reasonably priced bed overall, but the better quality is totally worth the extra price if you are looking at a cheaper version. Just go for it! Read more

We’ve had a lot of dog beds, and our dogs have gone through a ton of them quickly. We have two energetic very large dogs. One likes to dig to make her bed. The other is a sensitive guy who needs a lot of foam, and wants the cozy sides around it, and it’s not cozy enough, he tries to squeeze into the cat bed. They like to lay together on one bed. He’s a bug dog who has smashed down less firm foam in a few weeks. We also have two cats, one who sometimes decides to pee on the dog bed. This dog bed is perfect for our chaotic household. It is soft, it’s easy to wash, our digging dog hasn’t dug through the fabric yet, I have washed it probably 30 times, the foam has held up, and the waterproof cover hasn’t let a drop of cat urine into the foam. It’s also easy to put back together after washing, and the zipper hasn’t broken yet. I’m buying a third one so we have one on each of the floors. Read more

I am super excited for this large memory foam dog bed! I have been looking for something for my older dogs to rest easy on that will last for years. This bed is certainly living up to expectations. It came in a surprisingly small box, but well packaged and shrink wrapped to fit. Unlike most dog beds I have tried it expanded immediately when I opened it and fluffed right up. The bed portion is made of a thick memory foam and a cooling blue foam that is a little less thick than the memory foam. There is also a thin waterproof cover over the foam, which is a nice feature too. Once I put the foam into the bed I waited about an hour for it to fully expand. It probably took less than that though since I walked away to make dinner in that time though. First impressions of ths fabric were that it is well made, good stitching and sturdy zippers. The cover is soft, well made and looks like it could be wash. Not sure I would use this bed outside though, it's to nice to chance getting wet and not drying out. Overall this is a fantastic bed, large enough for several small dogs, or a couple medium dogs or one large dog. I took a photo of a 10lb cat for reference since my dogs weren't on hand. Easy to unpack and put together. I do suggest removing the waterproof cover and letting the foam air out for a while before putting it in the cover. I like that the bedding can be removed and the cover can go in the washer. My dog is having a hard time getting use to it as the foam is very dense and much firmer than her previous bed. I did take the waterproof cover off and that softened it a bit. Over all, it seems to be well made. Read more

An update to the original purchase that was over 2 years ago…..Bed is still in super condition. Still no complaints. Still like new. Can’t really beat this purchase. My dogs love this bed. Since I’ve bought it they have stopped wanting to sleep in my bed, that kind of bums me out. The bed itself is a memory foam rectangle encased in a vinyl overwrap. That piece then zips Into the rest of the bed. The entire bed is washable. The “pillows” are chunks of foam made into a bumper type roll that is also encased in waterproof material. It then zips Into the cover like the rectangle piece does. The bed is pretty awesome. I love the fact that it is washable and the parts that don’t fit in the washing machine are easy to clean. This is by far the best dog bed I have ever purchased. I tried it out myself when I first put it together, it’s actually really comfy. I was surprised haha. The dogs tried to climb on the bed with me on it lol. I think I laid on it about 30 minutes and was comfortable the entire time. I plan on buying more of these beds. One for my living room and if I can locate the same brand in a smaller version I intend on buying that as well. Read more
