This gloss immediately stood out to me, starting right with the name. “Glayer” is such a clever play on words - a gloss you can layer - and after wearing it, that concept really makes sense. I chose the shade Contour which to be honest...at first, I wasn’t entirely sure was meant to be used as an actual contour or simply named for its deeper tone, but either way the color is stunning! The shade itself is a rich, cool-leaning plum that reminds me of those classic “black cherry” style glosses - not truly dark, but leaving behind that beautiful deep pink-plum tone that’s incredibly flattering. I have a medium, light-tan complexion with neutral, cool-leaning undertones, and this shade looks especially gorgeous on my skin tone. While I think it would work well on a wide range of complexions, it really shines on cooler tones. Formula-wise, this is absolutely a gloss. It’s thick in the best way - buttery, enveloping, and incredibly comfortable - without being sticky at all. It almost feels like there’s skincare built into the formula. It smooths over dryness and texture instantly, and my lips actually feel better after wearing it than they did before. The finish is beautifully glossy and polished, with a cushiony feel that’s both nourishing and luxurious. The color applies evenly right from the first swipe with no patchiness or streaking. It’s lightly buildable, but honestly, it’s pigmented enough on its own that it wears beautifully as a single layer. What makes it especially user-friendly is how forgiving it is - if you need to clean up or adjust the application, it’s easy to do so without the color clinging unevenly. There is some light transfer, as expected with a gloss, but it transfers as a very soft, tinted version of the color rather than anything heavy. The gloss wears like a traditional gloss, lasting about an hour or so depending on eating and drinking, and it stays comfortable the entire time. The applicator is a standard doe-foot that holds a generous amount of product, so I prefer to wipe a bit off before applying. The packaging is adorable and modern - I love the squiggly, pigtail-style cap detail, which gives it a fun, design-forward look without feeling gimmicky. There’s no noticeable scent, and while it isn’t flavored, there’s a faint sweetness that keeps it from having that unpleasant bitter aftertaste some unscented glosses can leave behind. It’s very pleasant to wear. Overall, this is a beautifully balanced gloss - nourishing, comfortable, and flattering - especially for neutral to cool-toned skin. It feels elevated, wearable, and thoughtfully made, and it’s a shade and formula I can easily see myself reaching for again and again. Read more

These lip tints are gorgeous on. Very shiny tanghulu effect, decent stain left behind, not too pigmented. I really like them. Unfortunately, they do have a perfumey fragrance to them which I absolutely detest. That floral perfume leaves a chemical taste to the lip gloss, which is why I've taken off 1 star. This would be one of my top favorite lip tints if not for the chemical taste. Read more

I’ve tried almost all Laka lip products, and this is one of my faves. I have dry lips and this glossy lip tint is very hydrating. Other tints might look like they are hydrating, but sometimes they dry my lips out a lot. With the Glayer Tint, even after the glossy layer has worn off, my lips still don’t feel dry. I’ve tried Maxi Glayer Tint in two shades, 606 Meaning and 615 Skip. But since Amazon won’t allow me to leave two reviews, I’ve rolled them into this one. Meaning starts off as a neutral pinkish color and settles into a soft, toned down, greyish beige-mauve. I love love love it! Skip starts as a reddish color, and settles into a darker, neutral, fall-coded apple red. Both colors are sheer and flattering. For reference, I have light, neutral skin with olive undertones. Don’t forget to let the gloss set for a bit, without smacking your lips together. The color will settle and darken a bit. I like one layer, since I’m not a fan of super glossy lips, but a second layer will push it into glass-like glossiness. The tint is not sticky, and like all Laka lip products, it’s lightly scented. These smell tutti frutti gum. The smell doesn’t linger. The gloss layer will last for a few hours, or until I’ve eaten or had something to drink. The tint layer is long lasting. Read more

I love the high shine with subtle color that this gloss provides. The wand makes for easy and smooth application while the lid stays tightly secured when not in use. While this gloss looks great alone, it also works well when layered over liners or lipsticks since the color is sheer. The longevity of this product is good and it does not feel greasy or sticky on my lips. I'm pleased with the look, feel and value of this lip tint and would buy it again. Read more

I’ve tried my fair share of glosses, but the Laka Maxi Glayer Tint really surprised me in the best way possible. I picked up this product in the shade #609 Classy as I was interested in trying out a purpley, mauve gloss. The texture is so smooth and lightweight: not sticky, not goopy, just silky. This product gives that glass-like shine that makes your lips look plump and juicy without feeling heavy. I can talk, sip coffee, and go about my day without feeling that annoying stringiness that can sometimes happen from thicker formulas. This gloss is also buildable, so you can go from a soft sheen to full-on glossy glam depending on how much you apply. It leaves behind a little stain but I wouldn't call this a staining lip gloss. Shade thoughts: #609 Classy is a fantastic olive-friendly option, as on my lips it looks more like a nice mauve MLBB than overly purple. Another big plus: it’s vegan, cruelty-free, and free from parabens, sulfates, and silicones. My lips can be sensitive, and I’ve had zero irritation with this formula. It’s nice knowing you’re not putting harsh stuff on your skin, and and no animal cruelty is always a win. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the shine doesn’t last forever (especially if you’re talking or drinking a lot), so you’ll want to reapply every few hours. The bottle doesn't show off the product, just the shade, so it is a little difficult to tell when you're running out of product. Also, the applicator doesn’t pick up a ton of product, so I end up dipping back in a couple times per use. Still, those are small trade-offs for how luxurious this gloss feels. The color payoff, comfort, and clean ingredients make it totally worth the price. If you’re looking for a high-shine, non-sticky gloss that flatters your natural lip tone and is gentle on sensitive skin, this is it. Read more
