Very excited about this new rug for the doorway of my office. Pretty standard quality overall, nothing exceptional (or exceptionally bad), not really soft or really scratchy, the color does pop pretty well but it doesn't match anything else in my office, and it's maybe a little small, *but* I'm pretty happy with the reaction it gets every time someone comes over. i put this rug by the side of my bed and it feels really soft under my feet in the morning. the tufted pattern is thick and looks just like the pictures in the listing. it feels well made and the stitching on the edges is sturdy. it is a good size for a doorway or a bedside and it stays in place pretty well on the floor. the colors are nice and haven't faded at all. it is a practical and comfortable rug that adds a nice touch to the room. it is a simple and reliable piece of decor. The best part of this rug is the design, it’s like thermal vision. It’s more of a rainbow gradient than accurate to thermals, but that’s the impression. The fun part is its shape. I like how it can be an optical illusion. Some people see a face like Squidward or Gonzo. I laugh when they figure it out. It came folded and wasn’t laying flat at first, but it flattened out naturally eventually. I haven’t tried machine washing it like the listing says, but it’s cool that’s an option. It’s not too stiff for a machine washer and the backing is like a mesh so it can be easily rinsed. Some of the pile is uneven, with a few pieces sticking out. I snipped them so they wouldn’t catch in the vacuum. The size is appropriate for in front of the sink. It’s very plush and can absorb a lot of water. The quality is acceptable for the price. Weirdly great rug. I ordered it to use as a bath mat, but because of how soft it is, the cats took it over so I moved it to the table for them to lay on. The back is sturdy and the "tufts" are strongly attached, so even with them roughing it up (scratching it), nothing has been torn out.
