I purchased this GPS tracker to track and protect some of my assets. I was an IT Director for over 20 years prior to retiring 5 years ago and I am extremely impressed with this tracker. I've only had it for a short while but have found the SilverCloud App intuitive and very useful, the tracker battery life very good, has a very strong magnet for mounting, and the device itself is quality made and packaged. I am using the 3-minute reporting frequency which works good for my needs. After showing it to a friend whose husband has early stages of Alzheimers, she is going to buy one to put in his car in case he gets lost driving somewhere - which is a PERFECT application! Read more
Perfect for my five week solo road trip, so my family knew where I was even if I was out of cell range. Even with the 10 minute updates setting, the GPS keeps charged for a week at least (and this is 2+ years later!). We also moved to an area where vehicle thefts are common so we leave this in the car and have the speed alerts set to anything over 5mph. Obviously won’t stop a theft but at least we’d know where it went! App is super easy to use. So glad we have this, I recommend to anyone. Read more
Works great. Set up was easy, Magnet is STRONG... The only negative thing is that pricing is a bit misleading. In the pictures provided by Amazon, the cost is advertised as low as $10 per month... BUT that is ONLY if you purchase 2 years upfront. 1 year perchase is a smaller discount, and monthly payments are MUCH higher than advertised. Read more
Great tracking device! My last vehicle was stolen in the middle of the night, and I had no additional tracking services other than OnStar. Of course, the thieves took care of that immediately so once it was gone, it was GONE. I've been very anxious ever since that incident so once my insurance came through and I got my new vehicle, I purchased this tracker after seeing the good reviews. I've been using it for a little over two weeks and am very satisfied with it. I currently have the plan that provides location updates every minute and it is very precise and accurate, like I can tell which exact spot my vehicle is sitting in at a parking lot. I have yet to test how good the signal works outside of the US but according to its description, it can still provide accurate location updates should it be driven outside US borders. I was worried about having to recharge the battery as it is predicted to have a battery life of two weeks with my current plan. I figured that would get a little irritating but two weeks later and my battery life is still at 100%, even after commuting to and from work for about an hour each way. Love the fencing feature as it lets me know as soon as my vehicle leaves that perimeter by sending me an alert to my phone. Signal strength is great and it's about the size of a hockey puck, so it fits in tight, hidden spaces very easily. The app that is used to manage the device is easy to navigate and change the plan if I ever needed to, and you can customize just about everything to fit whatever your tracking needs may be. Hopefully the vehicle thieves don't come back but on the off chance they do, I will at least be able to see where they have taken this one and get it recovered quickly unlike my last one, which was never found. A workhorse in the fleet. Don't think of not protecting your assets because you’re worried about costs or lack of functionality. This unit is fully capable and every bit as sturdy and efficient as the claims are. If you're like me and buy a product based on reviews from other users, then buy this one with confidence! If I had to offer a criticism, it would be to upgrade the device devices to use USB-C and not mini, but that’s not really a big deal at all. Read more
