I once bought something similar to this for my wife - a simple plastic laptop desk. But this product really takes it to the next level. The bamboo is perfectly finished with no roughness and a nice lacquer all over. The bottom is very soft and feels great to have on your lap compared to a super hot laptop or a flat piece of plastic. It’s like a pillow for your legs but a desk for your device all at once. Price point is perfect - this product is a very good value. Because it is made of bamboo, the lap desk is also fairly light which makes it easy to take from room to room. My only complaint is that the little piece of bamboo which is inserted into a slot near the front breaks too easily. I once had my laptop against it tilted toward me and the mere weight of the device broke it in half. After super gluing it has held up well but I would advise the manufacturer to strengthen this piece and the consumer to be careful putting weight against it. Read more

I should have sent this item back. I bought a similar one a few years ago and this looked like the same brand. After filling in the small gaps with wood filler then sanding to get the surface flat it was better. After three coats of polyurethane it is usable. My advise is to skip this brand and go with the Sumisky brand instead. Read more
