Oh my god, this shelf. At a certain point, I was writing in direction notes so that when I finally reviewed this I could provide helpful directions to anyone who reads this. The short version of my experience is: tried to build and put into a closet, had to un-build, re-build twice with the final version being done by hand (not the screwdrivers or tools) because I was fitting it into a pantry. anyway, got it done but what will throw you off is that the diagrams aren't great for folks who are weak with spatial / 3D thinking. I got myself sort of turned around which is why the first re-build occurred. Anyways, now that it's in, I love it. Sturdy. I just advise you to give yourself a good chunk of time and if you're trying to fit it into a very small space, measure, measure, measure. I had to remove all base boards and one part of the interior door frame to get it to fit but again, that's a me and measuring problem. Read more

Really nice and sturdy product. Took me a while to assemble as there are a lot of screws, but all tools are provided. It is also nice that they give a hex bit if you have a drill. I would recommend a few things before you start the assembly process. First, get yourself a ratcheting screwdriver that accepts drill bits. It would seriously take double the time to use the allen wrench that is provided. Second, assemble the main bookshelf portion first before attaching the L shaped section. Went together well but this is a two person job. Looks great, seems much sturdier than the usual flatpack stuff you get for say, your average college dorm or bachelor pad. It's the size it says in the description. Read more

I would love to rate this higher but the assembly is awful. It seems like it would be a nice piece but it has taken me a friggin week to put this together and no matter what I do some screws aren't screwing in and other screws that did screw in are now cracking the wood or whatever the material is. I give up. I would return it but it is to heavy to bring to the UPS store...and I'm about to throw on the curb and someone else can take it. Or in the garbage it may go, too. Read more
