This mat is a perfect thickness, width and is super comfortable and light weight to carry back and forth to classes. The issues I had with grip/slip on a thinner mat are all gone on this mat - no slipping whatsoever. The carry strap is functional/okay. I lovvvvveeeeee the size! Not too big, not too small, just right! I was tired of falling off my mat during yoga and stretching sessions! Not anymore. I love the designs as well. Came with the carry strap and wrapped securely in plastic. Had a very light smell that didn't cause any concern. The only flaw that I could fine was that it stains easily. One yoga session had all my fingerprints everywhere! However, I didn't buy it to be a beauty contest winner! Although, the design is gorgeous, so that did give me a nudge with the purchase! The extra width is really nice and gives plenty of room for stretching and floor work. The thickness feels comfortable on knees and elbows during longer sessions. It lays flat and covers a good amount of floor space in a home setup. The surface is somewhat slippery, especially when my hands get a little sweaty.
