This is a great play by Tyler Perry. It had me laughing and crying. It also had a message that often times things happen in our lives that make us just want to sit and cry but if we just laugh that often helps us to see that God is going to help us work through it. God will bring us out and help us to see that we often are not doing as bad as we thought it's just that we have to go through something to get something and, good, faithful, people will be tested to see if they are deserving of the gifts that he gives them. This movie does not have Medea in it but never the less, it's Tyler Perry at his best. It's a very deep play accompanied with the usual various life lessons rolled up in it. It has some Awesome singing that usually goes with a Tyler Perry movie but the maintenance man may be the new Mr. Brown. He will keep you in stitches the entire play. It's Definitely a must have play to add to your DVD collection. Read more

Hilarity ensues. Great lines, AWESOME SINGERS and always wrapped in an uplifting message. Tyler Perry productions may not be everyones cup of tea, but whenever I am feeling low and need a pick me up, I pop in one of his plays, and it never fails to lift my spirit, and remind me that GOD is still great and on the throne. Special praise goes to Palmer Williams, he carried this production, he is a funny funny man. Wes Morgan - love his voice and he's kinda sexy too with his "swagger". Read more

i have had this play before but someone borrowed it and never returned it. i try to order all Tyler Perry plays because he keeps me laughing. My son passed away in 2002 and i just could not laugh again so i thought. My cousin let me look at this a couple of days after his funeral, she was a elderly lady and her daughter brought it down from up north. She thought it might cheer me up. Wisdom is every thing. She was right. This is what i prescribe to people here in Louisville, MS who has lost love ones. They always say thanks, they sometimes never know about his plays. Mr. Perry plays hel[p heal the soul. Read more

Tyler Perry has done it again! I loved this play from beginning to end! Floyd is hilarious and keeps you laughing the whole show! Also, I LOVED Tamar. She did an awesome job playing a different age bracket. Actually, everyone in it did a fabulous job! The ending knocked me off my seat! A must have! Do not hesitate to purchase this one! I've been telling everyone I know about it. :) Read more

I'm convinced, Palmer Williams needs his own show. I own every Tyler Perry play and Palmer Williams is brilliant in them all. This play is awesome and reminiscent of the true community experience. The bond between between the neighbors reminds me of the neighborhood I grew up in. The music is incredible, Cheryl Pepsi Riley, outstanding, D'Atra Hicks, magnificent. For those of you that enjoyed this play, I also recommend "Marriage Counselor". "Laugh To Keep From Crying" is truely one of those plays you watch that will quickly lift you out of a spirit of depression and is hilarious. Tyler has done it again and I am proud to be a fan of his work. Read more
