I want to like these more than I actually do. They are made very well and it's obvious the craftsmanship is high quality. So I was very excited to try them on, but less excited when I felt how they fit. I ordered the correct size, it's just that they feel a little too narrow in the toes and strangely wide in the middle. I don't know how else to describe it -- they open outwards at the middle instead of conforming to the shape of the foot. Perhaps this is how true moccasins are supposed to fit, but they probably won't get worn too often. The real issue is that because of the looseness, even no-show socks show. And seeing no-show socks looks ridiculous, so the only solution is to go barefoot. Some people are ok with this, but for a variety of reasons, I need to wear socks. A little disappointed. Read more

This pair of leather moccasins is for indoor or outdoor use and based on initial use, it is an ultra comfortable pair. Here are some initial thoughts. Pros: - Top notch leather. Feels like top grain even though it isn't specifically listed as such. - Light brown color feels warm and homely if used around the house. - Made in Canada. Quebec specifically. - I ordered my regular size and it fit very nicely. My suggestion is to go down a size if you desire a tighter fit. Cons: - Kinda pricey. First thing - these are deck shoe lookalikes, but they aren't deck shoes. Of course, the pedant in me would say both are Mocs in the strictest sense, so consider that an "akshually" statement. Construction is of extreme quality. The leather used is very supple, and the sizing is right on. Note that these are really intended for slip on/off, so the lacing is really rather perfunctory. Really no breaking in was required...at all. Perhaps a little stiff in the sole but that disappeared very quickly. All of this is to say that this isn't just a style shoe, but something with real utility to it. Comfort is as expected - there's not an athletic-style insole or anything like that, nor is one expected in this shoe. They are what they are - casual Mocs that work very well with shorts and a polo. Yes, that kind of vibe, at least to me. Excellent Mocs. Really, Laurentian is a pretty big name in this space, and with these shoes it's pretty easy to see why. I love these. Read more
