Comes with a battery! I use this for work and it's been great to check the temps for foods! I purchased the 4.5" and it's huge! Pro's: -Color is a nice bright red, easy to see around the workplace or at home. -Accurate with fast temp reading -Nice little cap to protect the thermometer (it also clicks on the back of the thermometer) -Had a nice clip to stick to your apron/pants/ etc Con's: -None that I can see so far! I needed to replace my old comark, and this caught my eye. It seems durable, the body is chunky, and the display is large enough to read at arms length. It survived heavy use for a week and I'm quite pleased with it. I really love the color, too. Accuracy seems good, but it doesn't look like you can recalibrate this one. Read more
