It will take us some time to get used to these sheets, but my wife and I agree that our first experience with them was largely positive. We both appreciated the silky softness and the high (1,800) thread count. The color is a nice, rich, darker gray. As advertised, the pockets of the fitted sheet are deep (16 inches), and they fit easily on our mattress with topper. The pillow cases are generously sized, so our queensize pillows fit nicely. This is our first time sleeping with bamboo sheets. It seems that the general characteristics of bamboo bedding include exceptional softness, wicking ability, durability, wrinkle and shringage resistance, among other qualities. We do appreciate that bamboo is a renewable resource, and in relatively high supply -- so, I'd expect to see the increasing popularity of bamboo sheets over the coming years. Nevertheless, for all of its fine qualities, its differences from sleeping with cotton sheets, particularly during colder weather, will take some getting used to. On the other hand, the "LBRO2M 100% Bam-Boo Bed Sheet Set" is *significantly* less costly than a comparably high-threadcount cotton sheet set. I'm glad we tried the bamboo sheets. This set is soft, and smooth. It feels cool to the touch, and is very comfortable to sleep on. The fitted sheet is large enough to fit around my deep pocket mattress. The fabric is thick, and strong. When I received the product I was a bit leery of the packing because it just looked like sheets thrown into the bag, i was tempted to throw away and then I fully investigated and washed the sheets and was so happy I did! There was nothing wrong with the sheets they are actually AMAZING quality sheets! Some of the best I've had ! The material is super comfortable, soft and breathable! Also, stays cool, I feel like I've been sleeping in a luxury hotel because of the feel of the sheets. The fitted she has deep pockets and fits my very deep 18 1/2" mattress (though made for 16 pockets)!. The dark grey color of the sheets is as shown in the picture and compliments my bedding very well ( which is a suede light grey. ). My wife has a love-hate relationship with bedsheets. While they’re a necessity, she struggles staying cool while under the covers. Until now, our only solution was pricy Egyptian cotton sheets. We had heard about the virtues of bamboo sheets and decided to take a chance on these. We’re glad we did. After the initial run through the washing machine, she was pleasantly surprised to discover how deep the fitted sheet was. Normally, she struggles with the corners, but this fitted sheet was deep enough to pose no problems. In addition, the top sheet was equally as roomy. The sheets were as soft and smooth as any I’ve encountered. They were also cool, as my wife attested the next morning. Given the price, this set is one of the great bedding bargains on Amazon. The current price is on par with what you'll find in a store, if not cheaper than some varieties. The sheets are well made and seem like they will hold up for quite a while. If you're like me and wash all fabrics before use/wear, you may want to run the set through two cycles. After only one wash the sheets were still stiff. I decided to try them after the one cycle and was fine, but just in case you have a preference. The sheets are comfortable and extremely breathable and don't leave you too hot or cold. I'm always cold and I was able to sleep without a comforter a few times. The deep pockets fit our 14" mattress nicely, without bunching up or being too tight. Growing up, I remember what we called “generic” (no-brand) items were hit-or-miss. Sometimes, they were just as good as higher priced items. These are like that. No, they aren’t as “buttery soft” as some, but they’re still soft & comfy, with a luxury feel. They have a little bit of a chemical smell that should come out in a wash or two (especially if you use dryer sheets). The color I got is a darker gray than in the pics, with a slight purple hue. Not sure if that was an accident and I got the dark grey ones (it’s almost identical to my dark grey duvet cover color), or if I just got a darker batch… so be aware that you may get darker ones (you could probably exchange them if there was an accident). I’m personally ok with it. I recommend these sheets if you want the natural softness and cooling nature of real bamboo and don’t care about brand names (why does it matter as long as the sheets are good?). Read more
