This is a bright and colorful clock that is perfect for a kids room, classroom, therapy room, or a fun loving adult's room! It is absolutely silent! This was my number one most important requirement and the expectation was met. The placement of this in my office is very close to my ears and even when I am alone and the room is completely silent I do not hear anything from this clock. It is keeping the time well. The second hand has a smooth flow versus a tick tock motion. The colors are vibrant but not over the top. The font is clear and easy to read even from a distance. The numbers for each minute makes telling time precisely easy and quick. I have to document to the minute and I never have to pause for even a second to decide if it is on the 12 or 13 minute (etc.) because it is blatantly clear and labeled. I highly recommend this clock for a beginning clock reader or for a senior citizen or for anyone who just likes to know the time without listening to the tick tock sound of the seconds passing us by! This is a bright, fun and colorful learning clock for kids. The clock came out of the box with a padded sleeve wrapped around it. Unlike a lot of products from China, it did not have a bad chemical smell to it. It was easy to put the one AA battery into the back of the clock. Once the battery is in, the clock runs smoothly. The second hand moves with a smooth, sweeping motion and the clock does not tick. Since it does not tick, the clock makes no noise at all. After putting the battery in and letting it run for a few hours it keeps good time. This clock is great for kids learning to tell time. The hour hand and minute hand are different colors and are labeled, the quarter-hours are labeled and every minute on the face of the clock is numbered. The face of the clock as a whole is very colorful and engaging. The clock measures 9 ¾ inches wide. The bezel is about 1 ½ inches deep and about 5 mm thick. The lens of the clock is clear and free of scratches, smudges, etc. This is a bright and colorful clock that will get the attention of children, and it is labeled so well it will do a good job of helping them learn to tell time.
