I've been on the journey of reworking my desk space. Since I work from home, I spend a lot of time here, so it should be a decent place to spend that time. Part of that is reworking the lighting in my office. I've pulled out the harsh ceiling light and installed indirect up lighting, which is easer on the eyes, but less bright overall. This does leave me wanting brighter light over my keyboard. This LED desk light is shaping up to be part of that. I have a monitor arm mounted on the wall, and of course, my main monitor on that. I used the clamp attached to the light to clamp onto the monitor arm, and the light itself sits about 31" over my desk, giving me ample light to see what I'm working on. I appreciate the different color temperatures. You can select bright white, warm white or a mix. I think that if they come out with another version, I'd like to be able control the percentage of each light set independently. This way I could get a color mix I like, with the added benefit of being to dim the light. The two wings are adjustable, but I'm happy with them aligned over my desk. The gooseneck that holds it up is very secure, and the clamp is a bog standard desk clamp, and more than adequate to the job. I'm not using the included USB power supply, it's a commodity 10 watt charger, and goes in the spares drawer. This was a great find for me, and I'm looking forward to the more comfortable work space. This dual-head desk lamp has been a game-changer for my workspace. It’s ready to use right out of the box—no assembly or tools required, which saves a lot of time. The built-in cord system keeps everything neat, and it looks very sleek and modern on my desk. I love the memory function. The lamp remembers my last brightness and color settings, so I don’t have to adjust it every time I turn it on. This makes it convenient for switching between tasks like reading, computer work, or video calls. The dual-head design is excellent. Each head is adjustable, and the flexible gooseneck lets me direct light exactly where I need it. The 24-inch total light bar gives plenty of coverage, making it ideal for large desks or multitasking areas. The 5 color modes and stepless dimming are very versatile. I can choose warm light for relaxing or cool light for focused tasks, and the flicker-free, glare-free illumination really reduces eye strain. It’s perfect for long study sessions, piano practice, or even photography setups. I also appreciate that it powers via USB, so I can use a charger I already have without extra adapters, which is convenient and eco-friendly. Overall, this lamp combines style, functionality, and comfort. It’s well-built, flexible, and makes working or studying much more pleasant. Highly recommended for any desk setup Read more
My wife is the one using this at her desk so I'll lead with her take. She likes the five color temperature settings and the fact that each head moves independently to cover different areas. Her two complaints are that the pole isn't tall enough to clear a monitor if you're using any kind of monitor stand, which meant she had to clip it onto the stand itself rather than use it as a freestanding lamp. Her other take is that the brightness adjustment is more limited than the listing suggests. That second point is worth flagging. The product advertises stepless dimmable brightness but in practice she found it to be more or less one usable brightness level. Not a dealbreaker at $20 but worth knowing going in. If your setup is fairly flat with no monitor riser you probably won't run into the height issue. If you're running a stand of any kind, plan on attaching it somewhere rather than just setting it on the desk. Read more
(review of MACASA LED Desk Lamp) This lamp works, but it has a couple of limitations. The LED light itself is decent, but it is not especially bright. It is fine for light desk work or a small workspace, but it may feel a bit dim if you are trying to light a larger desk area. The bigger issue is the gooseneck length. The flexible neck is about 15 inches long, which sounds reasonable until you try to position it above a larger monitor. In my setup it just does not reach far enough to place the light where I want it. The lamp itself feels reasonably well made and the gooseneck does hold its position once you bend it. I just wish the neck were longer and the light output a bit stronger. Read more
This LED desk lamp is nice all around. But my main complaint is that it doesn't reach high enough to go above my monitor like the picture would show you. For reference, my monitor is a 27" screen size and its only maybe 5-10 inches above my desk. Apart from sizing issues, I actually still think this is a good LED desk lamp. It's surprisingly well built in the materials and construction. It's versatile with a wide range of motion, except of course with the height. You can rotate each individual light source depending on your use case. It's also VERY bright. I was impressed on how bright these were and it illuminated my desk fully. Overall, even though it didn't fit, I still have to rate it 4 stars. It's well built, very bright, and with a high range of motion. I recommend it but I would measure before you buy if it fits. This MACASA LED desk lamp has been a great upgrade for my workspace. The light is bright and comfortable on the eyes (no harsh glare), and the extra-wide lighting coverage is perfect for lighting up an entire desk—laptop, notes, and keyboard all evenly lit. The dimming works smoothly, so it’s easy to set the brightness for daytime work or evening reading. I also appreciate that there’s no assembly required—just plug it in and it’s ready to go. It feels stable on the desk and doesn’t take up much space. Overall, a high-quality, eye-caring lamp with excellent coverage and easy controls. Highly recommended for office, dorm, or home setups.
