So being a long time, Director and Actor in professional haunts, I’m pretty picky when I want to put together a costume for any reason. I’m usually wearing some standardized kind of costume that I put together for whatever we need to be having but I’ve always taken a look at these LED mask and always wanted to try something but every time I would find a massive LED on them, the lights were right there by the eyes and I don’t know, I’m just a little nervous about putting something like that close to my eyes like that all night long for so many hours. I just don’t know eventually what that could do long term, so I stayed away from them. I haven’t really thought about these particular masks in general so I thought maybei I would give this a try and I’m really glad that I did. The mask itself is not a full face mask or even a partial face mask. It’s basically just a cut out of a face shape that is black and it goes right on top of your face so it doesn’t actually touch your face. You have foam padding behind the eyes and that is what stays against your face. So the beauty of this is that the LED lights don’t even come near your eyes. You don’t even see them and that’s wonderful. That’s a real plus with this type of mask. But I also like about it are the multiple faces you can change it to which go anywhere from actual faces to emoji faces to really cool designs, and things like that. So I’m telling you, with all the different choices you can have for this mask, anything would make a very cool costume. And of course, the best thing being if you’re gonna wear it under a hoodie or under a cloak of some sort because seeing this thing coming at you from just nothing but black space around it is absolutely a fantastic effect. No, it’s not scare season so I’m not at a long haunt to try it out for timing, but I will say that I had it going for about an hour and it was fine so I’d say in order to test it charge it up and give it a test yourself and see how long it works for you then you can make an informed decision. The media could not be loaded. This is a neat idea and the LED image it produces is very bright and sharp. But the mask feels like super cheap plastic that will not take any abuse. The sizing for the eye holes is very small. It is suitable for a child but on the small side for an adult. You can see in my video how much larger my average size glasses are that the opening. The padding is also unusually thick and the strap seems pretty short. So it is not very comfortable for long sessions. I knew going in that it was gesture based to find the graphic you want to display, but it was not until using that I realized how inconvenient this is. So once you find the image you want to display you need to be really carful you do not pass your hand in front of the sensor and accidentally switch it. You won’t even be aware you did it. Then to find the one you want again you will need to cycle through every image it can do to get back to it. There really should be a way to lock it to an image so that sensor does not work until you want it to. I am going to keep it. It is kind of novel and my kids thought it was fun, but they also noted the obvious shortcomings of it. But it is hard to justify a $30 price point for this when I have seen other LED displays that have an app control and give you a lot more flexibility in the image displayed and how it is controlled. So this is fun, but it has some serious limitations and it is not a great value for the money. This feels more like a $10-$15 item. Read more

This LED Mask has many different designs and styles it’s easy to setup and use, with a hand wave sensor you can control and change to the lighting design of your choice. The battery output last about 6-8 hours with continuous use, th er brightness is also very good and the quality of the overall design is good.
