We've been using this type of night light for 3 years - Very Simple, Smart, and Convenient
This product is physically and functionally identical to night lights we first purchased 3-years ago when our smallest "roommates" started walking and moving around on their own after dark ("before light" is probably more accurate...they are early risers). They've become a staple in our home and our family members homes and we've never had any issues with them. The first one's we purchased function just as well today as they did 3 years ago. Here's what we like about them: Plug & Play (also Plug & Forget): No batteries, no bulbs, no controls. Plug it in where you want automatic illumination when it gets dark and you're good to go for years. Some of ours haven't been touched since the first time we plugged them in 3 years ago. Automatic on/off: The light sensor automatically turns the light on when it gets dark at night and/or you switch lights off and automatically turns off when enough sun light comes into a room in the morning and/or when you switch your lights on. Perfect amount of illumination: The photos in the product listing are very good representations of how much light they put out in complete darkness. I've included a picture of one light from this 2-pack plugged in at night. For people of all ages, we find the amount of light just right - you can walk through our house safely at night without touching a light switch. One in each of our bathrooms is enough light for using the bathroom at night, two in our kitchen (one on a standard height wall outlet, one above counter) is enough light to grab a midnight snack. Only one outlet needed / they flip so your second outlet isn't blocked: See pictures of the light in both orientations, whether you plug it in the top outlet or the bottom outlet of a duplex plug, you only take up one outlet and your second outlet is never blocked. Aesthetically Pleasing: Simple and sleek modern design. We don't really notice them as they are white and about the same size as the white cover plates on our outlets but they aren't an eye sore when you do notice them.
