I wish I found this little tripod sooner! It’s so easy to use, simply click the button on the bottom of one of the tripod legs, and it snaps open. You could even simply tap the closed tripod on any hard surface and it will deploy the tripod opening mechanism. I wish all brands had this feature, it might seem like a silly thing to be excited about, but after fiddling with opening tripods that need to be yanked open over the years, this is a nice change and it makes setting up easier. The quality is great, attached by the 1/4 screw mount it can hold my extension rod and action 6 easily, and the legs aren’t stressed at all from the weight (the one in the picture is the ulanzi VL04 invisible selfie stick clipmate, but the tripod works with the Osmo 1.5m extension rod as well). Works great as a mini tripod for more discreet filming too, the 1/4 screw mount works with any of my dji magnetic mounts with the screw mount option. Overall, very happy with this little tripod, I’ll be using this one as a base to my longer extension rods, but I know I’ll be using it a lot more on its own for more discreet vlogging. The media could not be loaded. OVERALL RATING: 4.8 - AESTHETICS (5/5) Great looking product. Simple, clean, brand labeling doesn't jump out at you nor take away from the product. Looks good when closed; looks good when open. For some reason this product reminds me of Demogorgons from Stranger Things. - QUALITY (5/5) Quality is good, so far. Yes, it's plastic, but dense plastic (probably ABS). Click-to-open seems smooth and not subject to many issues, except debris blocking the cinch points. Threading is straight, not bent, and threads into female easily. - FUNCTIONALITY (5/5) Super functional, especially due to its size. Can be used on its own or threaded into another assembly; such as a selfie-stick (where applicable). Click-to-open is added bonus. There is only one height setting as the legs are spring-loaded. Product is only meant to stabilize the camera (or other device), so there is no room for "adjustment". This is just an FYI, not a complaint. - USER EXPERIENCE (5/5) This product is super easy to use and very practical. I have it installed in the base of a very compact selfie stick. But, it could be removed in seconds to use as a stand alone mini-tripod for low shots. Having a button to quickly click and release the legs is really efficient. This helps prevent time wasted trying to spread the legs apart. I did notice on a couple occasions that my fingers would get pinched or be in the way when trying to close the legs back up. I have since figured out a better way to close the legs. Because the legs are spring-loaded, they will need to click back into place. - VALUE (4/5) I would say the value is quite fair; probably border-line. Without the simple, one-click open feature, it might be overvalued. Gets straight to the point! It’s a tripod stand, lol Very small, not even the size of my hand…not complaining. There’s a quick open button on the bottom, which I really like because I have others that you just manually pull apart. Will add about 4” to your Osmo pocket, does NOT extend. Finally a solution to my biggest gripe with smalll tripods. Typically the feet just fold out and break off, not with this one. They are locked in place with a tiny release button, so the storage is super practical. It screws right in to any standard camera slot. Nice rubber feet to keep it from shifting on a surface.
