Great for my 6 year old! He’s just started getting into legos and thoroughly enjoyed putting these together. He was able to do it by himself (he’s quite handy and good at building things). It may require a little oversight from a parent with 5yrs or younger but I could see it still being a blast for them! Although it’s labeled 5+, my son is almost 4 years old and is able to complete most of it on his own with just a little guidance. The instructions are excellent and very kid-friendly. Each step clearly shows the pieces you need right in a hand illustration, followed by a simple, easy-to-understand visual of how everything fits together. This makes the building process feel approachable and not overwhelming, even for a younger child. The quality of the LEGO pieces is exactly what you’d expect — they fit together smoothly, feel sturdy, and hold up well during play. Once the build was complete, the fun didn’t stop. The two cars included have become part of my son’s regular playtime, which I really appreciate. It’s not just a build-and-forget toy. These make an awesome, inexpensive gift for a child ages 6 and up, although my kids ages 4-9 love to play with these Lego cars. They all loved the design of the set and it's held up very well, as we all expect Lego's to do. This set thankfully doesn't have too many pieces so it's easy for 5-7 year olds to build on their own. These are great for young kids learning to use legos as a starting point. My son and daughter each did one and their ages are 4 and 6, the amount of pieces wasn’t overwhelming for either of them. But my four year old did need some guidance since it was just a little smaller in size otherwise, she did it on her own. I feel these would be great for a stocking stuffer, gift basket for holidays or even something to buy for traveling entertainment.
