This review is for the LEGO Creator Toy & Grocery Shop. This is a 3 in 1 build which means that there are three separate instruction manuals included with the set so you can build a total of 3 different builds. The highlighted build is the Toy & Grocery Shop, but it also will build a Post Offic and a News Stand. This LEGO set includes a total of 466 pieces and is recommended for ages 8-12. My son is 13 and is an expert LEGO builder. After completing this build, I would have to say that due to the small pieces and intricate build of these parts that I would not recommend this set for any LEGO enthusiast that is much younger than that...unless they are an experienced builder and have been building sets for years. This is a fairy small building creation. For the Toy & Grocery Shop, there is a hinge down the middle that allows it to be opened or closed. When it is closed the build makes more sense. As the top floors on each side make a small little bedroom/studio apartment type deal. The Toy Store houses a train and a little robot build that looks like Wally, but there really isn't anything else in there. The second floor above the Toy Store has a little end table with a lamp on it. The Grocery Store has a little fruit and vegetable stand display out front that is really cute along with a light post. Inside the Grocery Store, once again there really isn't much to see. There is a cash register and some money as well as a couple of bottle products on a shelf. Upstairs is a little bed with letters and features a really cool sky light. The only down fall is that when this build is closed, there is no hinge or attachment anywhere to keep it closed. This comes with an adult woman mini figure as well as a little boy mini figure and a little four wheeled scooter deal. Each of these builds have really cute details and the instructions are very easy to follow. There were no numbers on the bags like most or should I say many LEGO creations, so when you start out you have all 466 pieces which may be a bit overwhelming for smaller aged LEGO builders. I would gauge this build to be at about a medium difficulty level. The countless hours of enjoyment that LEGO provides makes these sets worth the cost. We paid full price for this set, but the price here on Amazon was about $10 cheaper than any of our local stores which was a real plus. Read more

This was my first ever lego set, so I'm not an expert. DIFFICULTY AND TIME For a person who just started to get into lego, I think this a pretty easy build. The age suggestion is pretty accurate. The only difficult part I could think of was the black balcony, and the fruit stand. It took about 2-3 hours for me, but it could probably be finished in an hour and a half. PRICE I had gotten the set for $27.99, the price seems to fluctuate. Price per brick for the price I had bout the set at is $0.06, which i really awesome. I think the set is totally worth that. SET PARTS First off, this is just a really good display item. It looks detailed, the colors go well together, and the structure is nice. If you were to display, you can open it up so it shows both sides (looks like 2 buildings), or close it to have it as one building. Secondly, there's a lot of playability, the set come with so many little details, such as a little bicycle, gumball machine, toy train, wall-e, fruit stand, interior furniture, and minifigures. The only con I can think of for this is the bicycle, the wheels don't turn, it doesn't latch onto the base, and it's really difficult to get a minifigure on it. CONCLUSION Overall, this is a great set for the price. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you plan on building a lego city. Read more

Such a must-have item that I had to buy several for various grandkids. Great value and a fun project. Love the Creator Series, because you can take down and rebuild the sets into three different projects. Takes it out of the one-and-done category of things build a single time then put on a shelf. This helps stimulate the creative side of Lego building, to ease them into using pieces in different ways. Opens the way to using their imaginations rather than just following directions. Read more

An interesting set, if feeling a little pricey for its size. There isn't much play/figure space inside the buildings, you'd need to partly disassemble the sets to put figures inside. While the alternate models aren't bad, they tend to leave a lot of pieces behind-Only the main kit really uses a bulk of the pieces, sadly. It looks nice enough with the high-end modular city sets, but may be best left in its own little neighborhood. Happilt the building(s) here aren't facades as I first thought, but buildings that can open up and be explored a bit. Read more

I love seeing my son put this Lego set together. He's ten years old and he loves it. The only thing I would recommend but this is by no means necessary is that three sets should be purchased in order to make the whole set come together. But by no means is it necessary. The set actually can work well on its on. This is an awesome set and as a mom of a Lego enthuses I highly recommend this set. Read more

My nephew loved it 😊 The only negative bit i have is that he is so pleased with the very first design he made that he is unwilling to take it apart to try the other two 🤔😞😯 oh well ..... as long as he loves it ..... Read more

9 year old son had hours of joy with this. Challenging enough to be absorbing yet easy enough for a 9 year old. The models are intricate and well detailed, you can only make one model at a time however, if you are building a town then you might consider buying 3 one for each model which covers a Christmas and 2 birthdays or something like that. Really good. Read more

What can I say Lego is the king and these big kits are the best. I purchased all 4 of the new larges kits for my granddaughter for her birthday and made her a new Lego table. Kids really learn a lot and can build a whole city, I am sure years from now they are going to make a great pass down gift to her kids. Read more
