I never know how to gauge Lego's age rating system. My 8 year old nephew blazes through 18+ builds, and my 3-5 year old nieces will do 7-8 year old builds with a little assistance. I got this one for my 4 year old niece who loves Encanto, but it was just a little too technical for her and she required assistance from her 10 year old sister to build it. That being said, the finished product was great. It had a good variety of colors and pieces and my nieces had fun building it together. I bought this kit for my grown daughter, who loves the movie Encanto and all its characters. She was happy with it when she opened her present and i think she'll enjoy putting it together and displaying it, if she chooses to keep it together.
