This is an amazing kit! My son and I bought it for a friend with a typewriter collection and she FLIPPED over it! The construction is complicated, but the directions are well detailed, just like any Lego project, and quite simple if you go slowly. It is extremely cleverly designed. It does NOT actually type - but when you press the keys, the carriage moves and it give a satisfactory typewriter thump. As you can see from the photo, they have really captured the essence of an old typewriter. We loved putting it together as much as my friend loved the addition to her collection!
