This was a very fun and colorful build. I got this for $88 and I think it was worth it—it’s currently on display in a display case with my other Spring Festival sets. The trotting lantern is very stable and has a good weight to it. There were no missing pieces and there was even packaging for the instruction book. The assembly was relatively easy except for this one tough part that took me a while. Everything after that was smooth sailing. The light also works, and the figurines were cute. Overall, very happy with the purchase! Read more

I absolutely love the Good Fortune set. It is a beautiful addition! I already had the Lucky Cat, so this felt like the perfect set to complete my display. The build was fun and detailed, and the final result is vibrant and full of charm. It really captures the spirit and looks fantastic on the shelf. Read more

We got this for my Parent's and my In-laws. We love that there are multiple pieces. We plan to split it by giving one family the fan, the plate with the persimmon and gold. For the other family, the fan and the red banner with ink pen. The fan can be mounted on the wall with the right command hook, so it should look gorgeous. Build-wise, the age is appropriate, with possibly some assistance. There were around 2 steps where I had to go back and rebuild because the instructions were not 100% clear. Read more

I recently built LEGO 80117, Good Fortune, and while it came with a few challenges, it turned out to be one of the most rewarding builds I’ve tackled in a while. As a left-hand amputee, I tend to approach detailed sets with a bit of caution, and this one definitely had its tricky moments—especially when assembling the cherry blossom branches. The flowers require a lot of small parts and precise placement, which made those sections a bit frustrating at times. Still, with some patience and a few deep breaths, I got through it. The rest of the build was a great experience. The set is divided into separate components, which made it easier to manage and enjoy at my own pace. Each item—like the scroll with the character for “Spring,” the gold ingots, the blue-and-white vase, and the fan—felt meaningful and thoughtfully designed. I especially loved the magpie-and-blossom option for the fan. It’s visually striking and adds a layer of elegance that really makes the whole display pop. The persimmon was a fun touch too, even if it had a habit of rolling away every time I bumped the table. One of the best parts? I was able to snag the set at 50% off, which made the value feel even better. At full price, I might have paused, especially knowing that most of the elements aren’t firmly attached to the base and the whole thing is best left stationary. But for a seasonal or year-round display, it’s an absolute gem. All in all, Good Fortune is a beautiful, meaningful set that holds its own as a cultural centerpiece. While one-handed builders should be prepared for a bit of a challenge, the final result is well worth the effort. Read more
