I picked up this LEGO Sunflowers set for my 13-year-old daughter after her surgery, when she couldn’t really do much besides rest in bed. I was hoping for something she could do on her own that would keep her mind busy and make her feel a little happier, and this set did exactly that. She finished it pretty quickly, but in a good way – no frustration, no asking for help, just quietly following the instructions and enjoying the build. She was so proud of how it turned out that she immediately started taking photos and showing it off to family and friends. What surprised me is how much replay value it has. She’s already taken it apart and rebuilt it multiple times, changing little details and “re-arranging” the flowers like a bouquet. For a relatively small set, it’s gotten a LOT of use. The only minor downside is that if you’re looking for a long, all-day build, this isn’t it – it’s more of a shorter, satisfying project. But for kids who are recovering, stuck inside, or just need something calming to do, it’s perfect. Overall, I’m really glad I bought this.
