I really had to think about pressing the order button with this set. At first, the mismatched design, the imperfect shape and designs, really made me hesitant thinking that it would bug me too much that the plate isn't a nice round plate and that the splotches weren't the same shape, size, or placement. However, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted them. I like the color scheme and plan to use these as an upgrade to my everyday use dishes, finally letting go of my Ikea basic set I bought more than a decade ago after moving out on my own. I ran them through the dishwasher and had no issues, which shocked me given the rim is gold. I even used the bowl to heat oatmeal, and again, no issues, though the bowl did get hot, but that's what potholders and trivets are for. While I don't really need new mugs, I can keep these out year-round or out just for the winter holidays (through Valentine's day). The plates are perfect for salads, toast, and snacking. The cups are bigger than I expected after getting my mom's coffee/tea and saucer set from her china set, I realized hers are too small for the larger pours we do these days. While not as large as my usual coffee mugs (Rae Dunn), they did hold more than I thought they would. I use a 20oz Moka pot for my coffee, and that is usually enough to fill my Rae Dunn mugs, with a little leftover, with the mugs that came with this set, it was more like 1.5 cups, with a little bit of creamer. While these are labeled as a dessert set, the bowls are larger than what I would use for ice cream and are perfect for regular meals (cereal, soups, oatmeal, rice bowls, pastas, etc.). It came in a nice light blue/green box, and everything inside was packed nicely and safely, so no pieces arrived damaged. Lenox itself has a great warranty, which I never knew about. Sadly this pattern does not come in dinner plate size to match and add on to this set, but it's perfect for my use. Surprisingly, once I received them, I got excited. This classic set of china is perfect for any occasion. The spots on the glassware almost look like hearts, and the stripes on the plates and bowls almost look like peppermint stripes. Due to these colorations we use it for Valentine's Day and Christmas time, but it could be used anytime of the year to fit any Red theme in your kitchen or dining set. The dishes come in and out of the dishwasher looking good as new. All the dishes feel sturdy and not delicate. I cannot think of anything negative to say. Read more

Cute, sturdy plates, cups, and bowls. They are designed as a dessert set, but I use them for everything. I adore the designs of them; the imperfect wavy edges (that also have metallic gold trim) provide so much character, and the designs sort of invoke a feeling of Valentine’s Day, but fit in year-round. I also love that they are microwave and dishwasher safe and so far have held up perfectly with both. Read more

This set is so cute. It gives off retro cottage core vibes. The dishes are thin and delicate but still sturdy. I ran these in the dishwasher with no problem. The plates and mugs are perfectly sized for serving dessert. I will have to get another set, since this only serves 4. Read more

My family has been using these dishes for a few weeks, and we absolutely love them! They are sturdy, but low profile so they stack compactly and neatly in the cabinet. They work well in the microwave and stay cool while the food gets warm. They are dishwasher safe and look as good as new, even after multiple cycles in the dishwasher. The design is beautiful, and I especially like the gold colored accent around the edge of each plate, rim of each bowl, and lip of each mug. There are two different designs (red lines or red flakes) for the 12 pieces which coordinate with each other nicely. The bowls are a good size...perfect for cereal, soup, or pasta.
