LENTION 8 in 1 USB C Hub with 4K 60Hz HDMI Adapter 2 USB C Data Transfer 2

I have an ASUS ROG Zephyrus laptop with Intel i9 processor. The laptop does not have an SD slot and only 2 USB ports and 2 C ports. So I bought this LENTION Hub. It comes with an SD and Mini SD slot, 2 USB and 2 C ports and one HDMI port - 7 in all. I like the construction and feel of hub - nicely built, but I believe it is more suited for apple machines rather than the windows. I also have an Apple 2024 iMac . I have tried it with both and here is what I experienced. The Lention Hub works flawlessly with the iMac. No problem whatsoever, but when I plug it in my AUSU Win-11, my computer some time freezes for a while and sometimes I will have to reboot to bring it back to life. Sometimes, it will work and than the mouse cursor jumps all the screen. My Huion Tablet pen has the same problem and my USB hard drive that I store all my photos pops up frequently covering the screen I may be working on - an absolutely and terribly annoying interference. The hub recognizes the SD card immediately. I have not experienced any difficulty there yet, but because of others problem, I think that I will send the item back. HOPE this helps. PS: January 13, 2025: The seller reached out and suggested that I should update Win-11, which I did. After that all three of my devices attached ( USB mouse, USB 2TB HD and a Tablet ) started working without any problem. No computers these days have enough USB ports, whether USB-A or USB-C. And complicating things for many laptop computers is that one of the available USB-C port is for PD (power delivery) charging. This hub solves the problem! This plugs into a USB-C port on the computer. If you need to power the computer to recharge the battery or continue working with the power pack plugged in, you can plug the USB-C power cable from the AC adapter into one of the USB-C PD ports on this hub and the power will pass through to the computer, so you haven't actually lost the use of the USB-C port on your computer. Easy to install. No issues with running multiple items off of strip. Love the USB A and C ports. Only negative is that the USB line to plug into the computer is a tad short. Line is approximately 6.5 inches. An additional couple of inches bringing it to 9 total inches would have bee perfect for my use. As is, the cord is too short to mount and too short lay flat. One USB-C port on the end doesn't work, or I'd give it five stars. Ribbon is standard length for a hub, but that is TOO SHORT FOR IMAC. I had to put a couple of books under it, to get it level with the port on the 24 inch Imac monitor. Would be okay for a laptop, which is lower. Read more
