Levi's 511 sizing is all over the place, we all know that. Buy it on Amazon, Walmart or Target, each time you'll get a slightly different size. I have 511s from different stores with the exact same brand and tab size which vary massively. The saving grace in this potentially tragic story is Amazon's generous and world famous return policy. I'd say size up, and if you get the wrong size Amazon has your back. And about the jeans? These are classic, every man should have a pair of dark dernim. So I ordered a pair of these Levi 511s as well as a pair of Lee Modern Series Slim Fit Straight Leg jeans, both in size 32x32. The quality of both pairs of jeans are comparable, but these 511s didn't fit quite like I expected around the waist. Nearly every well fitting pair of pants I own are size 32x32 and I can usually just grab that size and have no issues, but that didn't work here. I do understand that these are slim fit and that the Lee's are slim straight legged (more comparable to the Levi 513s), but it wasn't the legs that didn't fit, it's that these 511s were uncomfortable tight around the waist. I've worn skinny jeans before, and even if they are tight on the legs, they should still fit on the waist. Since I really liked the way the Lee's fit, I ended up returning these Levi's and getting a second pair of the Lee's in a different color. Plus, they're also cheaper. Besides the issue of not quite fitting as I would expect, there was nothing wrong with the jeans. The material seemed comfortable, the stitching looked good and strong, and they look really nice. These are the best jeans (other than the 501s) that I have even bought. I wore my old pair almost every day for two years. If you like the way that rigid jeans fade then you will be really happy with these. I would suggest washing them as little as possible, if at all, for a good fade. If they get a little smelly I have found you can put them in the freezer overnight, and the next day they won't smell anymore. They do fit smaller than other 511s. Usually, with 511s, I wear a 31x32. But with these I have to buy a 32x32. It's good to go a size up too because they will stretch out, but then shrink a whole size once washed. When you do wash them I would suggest washing them inside out, and then putting them on right away and wear them while they dry. Read more
Finally a perfect pair of jeans that I don't have to shell hundreds of dollars for. Levis are the original denim makers and this fit is a classic. Tapered and slim and yet none of that skinny jeans thing going on. I bought in two different sizes, these run slightly tight so maybe order the next size over if you want a loser fit, there is some stretch in them so that makes it workable. Read more
Great Dark Wash with a great durability. I bought these by mistake when I intended to order the 510s. These became the new favorites. They still have a nice slim line. Originally I was worried that the stitching would create too great a contrast with the wash. It wasn't a problem at all. Follow the washing instructions - cold, and inside out, and you shouldn't see a significant color fade. Normal wear and tear will come along I keep a cell phone in the back pocket and the outline is noticeable now that I've worn this pair over a year. Never liked baggy, loose fitting Jeans and these fill the bill, perfectly! As men age, many posteriors tend to diminish and legs get thinner. These fit snugly, but not too youth fully skinny and they tend to give this tall, thin body more of a younger shape, without looking "old man foolish." Read more
For the most part 80% of my Jean's are Levies.They've always fit me best.The 2 of the same style and the 1 different type all fit great and as I expected.I wear my Jeans snug I hate loose fitting pants.So you might wanna go 1 size bigger in the waist for a looser fit.But the length is perfect.
