The media could not be loaded. After using the Levoit Core 400S for several months, I was so impressed that I recently purchased a second unit for another room in my home. This smart air purifier has exceeded my expectations in every way. Powerful Performance The Core 400S delivers exceptional air purification with its 3-stage filtration system that includes a pre-filter, H13 True HEPA filter, and activated carbon filter. This combination captures at least 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. In real-world testing, it reduced PM2.5 particulate matter by 96% in just 60 minutes in a 320 sq. ft. room. What impressed me most is how quickly it responds to changes in air quality. When cooking creates smoke or odors, the unit immediately ramps up to tackle the problem. The air quality indicator rings provide an intuitive visual of current conditions, changing from red (bad) to blue (very good) as it works. Smart Features That Actually Help Unlike many "smart" appliances with gimmicky features, the Core 400S's connectivity genuinely enhances its functionality. The VeSync app allows me to control settings remotely, check filter life, view air quality history, and create custom schedules6. I particularly appreciate being able to check my home's air quality when I'm away. The built-in AirSight Plus laser dust sensor continuously monitors air quality, displaying real-time PM2.5 readings on both the unit and in the app. This data-driven approach helps me understand my home's air quality patterns over time. Thoughtful Design The Core 400S strikes an excellent balance between power and aesthetics. Its sleek cylindrical design blends seamlessly into my home decor rather than standing out as an eyesore. Despite its powerful performance, it maintains impressively quiet operation - just 24dB in Sleep Mode, which is quieter than a whisper. With five fan speeds plus Auto and Sleep modes, it adapts to different situations throughout the day. The Auto mode is particularly useful, as it automatically adjusts fan speed based on detected air quality. Why I Bought a Second One After seeing the dramatic improvement in air quality in my living room, I couldn't resist getting another for my bedroom. The combination of powerful filtration, quiet operation, and smart features made it an easy decision. At around $220, it's reasonably priced for the performance and features offered. The Core 400S effectively covers rooms up to 403 sq. ft. (or 92 sq. m.), making it perfect for most living spaces. With two units strategically placed, I've noticed significantly less dust throughout my home and improved sleep quality. If you're considering an air purifier that combines powerful performance, smart features, and reasonable pricing, the Levoit Core 400S is absolutely worth the investment - perhaps even twice. Please note, in the video, my phone is directly over the wind from the purifier which makes it a bit noisier than normal. I've had this for over a year now and it's still working great. I need to give it a his cleaning. Before the video, I had candles burning, it's steadily working to improve the air quality as it's being polluted. Read more

We have a very large room that is only heated in the winter by a wood burning stove, and for some time I have noticed that it gets smoky - guess for the past few years, I'd just gotten used to it! I also was getting a dry cough in the morning, so the first thing is I got the water back onto the stove because I had let the humidification of the room go by the wayside. That didn't seem to help my dry throat so much. But this unit - wow. I cannot smell any smoke, it is SO QUIET, and I love that you can turn the blue light off at night. I use it in the bedroom at night which is on the same floor as the large room, then put it in the room during the day. No more dry throat and cough and the whole upstairs just feels clean. The Levoit got very good reviews, the cost was reasonable, and so I want to add this positive review! I HIGHLY recommend it! Read more

I've been very happy since I purchased this. I thought I already reviewed it before, but obviously I didn't. I purchased it about a year ago and it has worked wonderfully. It's easy to change the settings on it, it's very quiet even on higher settings. Well, that's my opinion. I was very happy I went with this brand. Read more

Very useful, we use it daily especially after cooking when the house smells of food. It does the job and the house is refreshed. We clean the filter with a vacuum and I have hosed it off outside as well. Perfect for a small 960sf home and 450sq ft living area. Read more

Surprised at how light this thing is, and how simple it was to just make it work. Auto mode so far has been great, nice and quiet...I don't hear the motor at all like I saw some folks on YouTube complain about. Size is great for the back bedroom aka my computer room/reptile room. Only complaint is the app on iOS. It was terrible - Apple kept trying to autofill the registration and the app would just derp out and there's no back so you have to completely close the app and relaunch it. Then when you get to the part for putting in the verify email code, if you exit the app screen to pull up your email on your phone....good luck. App doesn't recognize the keyboard when you tab back over to it from the background and again, you have to close the app and completely start the sign up process all over again. Very annoying, but eventually just used my computer to load email...not a deal breaker, just a really dumb workaround to something that shouldn't be a problem in the first place. Read more

This is a great Quality purifier, I have 2 and the airflow at setting number two works well filtering air in my Living room and large Master Bedroom. A year of ownership running constantly throughout the day at setting number two and they are still running strong. Filterwise I am partial to the Levoit brand simply because the stock white filters out smell better than the off brands I have tried. Read more

Bought this several months ago and the sale price made it a bargain. We keep ours on automatic all day and switch to night setting at night automatically using the app. After a few months the original filter still has plenty of life left. Air is fresher, helps with dust allergies, and the high setting clears out smoke and bad smells quickly. It’s a bit larger than we expected, about knee high and maybe 11 inches in diameter, and it needs clearance around it to operate, so keep that in mind when you’re choosing. But we’re quite happy! I have pets so I really want to keep the dust and allergens to a minimum. I like the sensor because it can detect cooking fumes and smoke. I’ve been using the auto speed select feature and most of the time it runs on low. On low, it’s as quiet as a mouse. It’s easy to vacuum the filter, when it needs it. Read more
