I wear shorts whenever I can, and lightweight shorts are always preferred. These shorts are super lightweight and good for warm weather outdoor activities like hiking, camping, etc. Here are my thoughts: - I like the thin lightweight fabric. They seem comfortable, and will definitely dry quickly if wet and so are good for keeping dry when sweaty, etc. - There are a total of four zippered pockets (and one velcro pocket.) Front left cargo pocket, left and right side pockets, and right rear back pocket. The front right cargo packet is secured by velcro. The zippered pockets are great for keeping loose items like keys, phones, or wallets from falling out during your strenuous activities. As a minor nitpick, I am left-handed and I much prefer to put my wallet in my left back pocket. These shorts do not have a any back pocket on the left side. - These are drawstring-only shorts that do NOT have a zipper in the crotch. They are closer to swim trunks in that respect, but simply without the traditional mesh lining, and with several pockets instead. - I ordered the "army green" color and it is significantly darker than I expected. I like it (I prefer darker colors, actually,) but I was definitely thinking this color would be lighter than it is. -The waist is elastic, but pay very close attention to their sizing chart. I am a big guy with a 42" waist. I would have expected that XL or 2XL would normally be the correct size for me, but I looked at their chart and found that 3XL was the closest size for me. The sizing chart is pretty accurate to the actual size, and mine fit just fine, but don't count on buying by the "size" sight unseen. The length of these shorts is perfect. - A possible issue: The very first time I worse these, one of the zippers got jammed and I couldn't get it unstuck. Miraculously, it started working again, so it is ok now, but beware of jamming zippers. I definitely like how light and thin these shorts are, and they are great for doing anything outdoors. Ordered these for my husband, they are true to size. Made well with quality materials and offer a comfortable fit. They are lightweight and perfect for summer. They have become my husbands favorite shorts, and I’ll definitely be ordering him more of them! Read more

My husband wears a 33 waist band in pants, and according to the size chart he would need a 3X. I ordered the 3X as recommended and it is HUGE! Clearly, it looks like a standard 3X pants to me. I should have ordered him his normal size (large). I had to return this item. The shorts seemed to be very nice material and I bet would be super comfortable to wear in the summer heat, but we will never know. Read more
