This TV has a really nice picture. The frame is gorgeous and it just looks really nice hung up on the wall. It is somewhat heavy so two strong people will be required to get it anchored properly. I've only had mine up and running for a week but i"m really happy with it so far. I don't get input errors like I did with my Samsung I had before - it switches seamlessly between all of its features, has a nice, fairly easy main menu - remote is not overly complicated at all. It isn’t an OLED but nevertheless the LG has an extremely clear picture. The display is nice and bright with surprisingly good black levels. I did change the default Picture Mode Settings to suit my own tastes. The unit has lots of features for the price point. I am driving the sound output to a Yamaha VX-485 receiver instead utilizing the 20 watt speakers. The onboard speakers sound clear enough, but a 70 in. TV is nicer with a Home Theatre system. I run an Amazon Fire TV through the receiver instead of using the onboard LG apps. However, I did try the onboard Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, and browser Apps just to see how they performed. They all looked quite good. The remote is capable of also controlling the Fire TV as well as my LG Blu ray player. I did successfully pair the TV with my Echo dot just to see if the bluetooth feature worked. I am more than satisfied with the TV, but it took me an hour or so to figure out the how to properly perform the setup. It was not complicated but the online instructions were not that clear to me. I wanted something big and I wanted something new and I wanted something I can use bluetooth headphones . This TV was perfect for my expectations. The magic remote is really nice as it works like a mouse, by pointing the remote at the screen. The menus are very fast and I can watch YouTube , netflix , Amazon, and countless others. Read more
Pretty good TV, especially considering the price. PrimeTV/Netflix apps don’t work well so I hooked up my FireTV, no big deal. First TV I got was defective (packaging was good, it was the TV itself). Amazon sent me a replacement in 2 days, so that was nice. It took them over a week to take back the defective TV. Amazon told me I do not need to pack or anything, but when the shipping guy showed up he told me I need to put it back in the box otherwise he won’t take it back (luckily I didn’t trash the original packaging) so that was a bit annoying. But overall I’m happy with the purchase and Amazon’s service. Read more
This was a family gift and it couldn't be better! Watching sports is better viewing than being at the game! Regular TV is like being in the studio! Just watched "The Lord of the Rings" last night and it felt more like being in the theater than actually being in the theater! Looked almost like watching 3D. Only thing missing was the theater popcorn. Great buy on an Amazon holiday deal but would have been a really good deal at the regular sales price. The magic remote breaks down right after the first year of having it. This means you can no longer control the tv. You mirror to it from your phone but the connection is very poor and mostly intermittent. That part is very frustrating also. I knew I should have purchased a Samsung tv! Now I’m told I have to purchase a new remote. LG should replace it as it’s clearly defective. I have Samsung tv that still works and the remotes do too from 2015. All I wanted was a larger TV for my living room. I’m going to sell this one and use the money to buy a 70inch Samsung instead. I tried LG but should have purchased a Samsung. Spent 40 mins on the phone plus time going to geek squad to find out that the remote actually works but it just won’t connect with the tv anymore. Now I have to buy a new remote and pay to have it shipped. Read more
