I needed some every day glasses but was not able to get out and make the rounds of all the stores and carry them inside. So, I went to Amazon and looked around. I purchased the Libby Polaris16 piece Tumbler Glass set and I am so glad I did. They are lovely and look at the price! They are elegant but for every day. They look and feel like they will last, but not too heavy. Knowing what I know now about these glasses I would definitely buy them again without any hesitation. I would also give them as gifts to friends Not one was chipped or broken because they were packed well without excessive packing or bubble wrap. They were delivered almost the next day. I love Amazon. For someone shut in the house not being able, or having the time to go to many stores and pick out heavy items and then haul them back to the house, Amazon is definitely the way to go. Based on some of the reviews I was concerned about defects and breakage, but I ordered them anyway. The arrived at my door, box on end in the snow. I let the package come up to room temp and opened and checked the contents. Using frustration free packing probably helped to keep each of the 16 items perfect...no breakage. Checking each of the 16 glasses I found no defects or bubbles or other problems. The rim of each glass is anealed leaving a smooth, rounded edge slightly thicker than the wall of the glass. I rate the glasses as attractive with handy capacities. The heavy base, when chilled, helps keep drinks cold. Read more

The weighted bottom makes these less prone to tipping. They are very attractive and can be washed in the dishwasher. Read more

I bought these glasses a few months ago from Amazon. These look really nice, are clear with a heavy round bottom that does not collect water in the dishwasher and I get a lot of compliments on them. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that a few of them do not sit level (see picture). I find it slightly annoying, but others in my family find this charming. Still I would recommend these glasses for everyday use. I also love the smaller glasses for juice or wine or a nice vodka tonic. Read more

I accidentally dinged one of the glasses against the counter when I was washing it. I went to place it in the dishwasher to dry off and hit the corner of the counter with the cup. The cup did not shatter! It only rang and after a brief moment of silence I was pretty happy with the durability. These cups have a good weight and clarity to them and elevates the appearance of my drinks and iced lattes. Very happy overall! Read more
