I really like these umbrellas. I live at a very high altitude in South America that has high UV, sometimes strong winds, and a rainy season. Umbrellas are a daily necessity. This fits well in my bag and what I really like about it is how easy it is to collapse, wrap the band around, and put the cover back on it. No problems at all. That is very important to me when relying on public transportation because I don't want to be fumbling with my umbrella getting into transport. Others I have ordered on Amazon do not have good band/Velcro closure and it's impossible to get the cover back on because it bunches up so bad. It has been wind resistant for me, although huge gusts can probably turn any umbrella inside out. The umbrella opens very easily and quickly and it provides very good UV protection. I am not sure why people are saying it doesn't close easily. It's a sturdy product and it's closure is no different for me than any other collapsible umbrella. I've always just put the handle on my hip and pulled it down. The only umbrellas I have found that are easily collapsible are manual. This is collapsible with a button. I bought these specifically for a trip via airplane. They are compact - it fit in my backpack purse easily. They are sturdy. The fabric is a nice quality and thickness. I also gave one to my son to keep in his backpack to use going to and from school if he needs it. He likes it because it is small when closed but good size when it is open. The only thing I noticed is that when closing the umbrella I need to use a little force to get it to latch. Definitely would be hard for a child to get it to close without help.
